I'd really love to do this again.
I biked and swam all last fall and I was in fantastic shape for it. Then winter came and I was just swimming-- I fell in love with swimming and didn't get back on my bike.
However! I gained about 8 lbs in that time... went from 148 to 156 time to get back on the bike! I get so frustrated with myself-- I can be in the midst of amazing training and being in wonderful shape and then slowly fall off the bandwagon. :( I'm working hard and have been for the last few weeks... lifting weights every three days and then walking at least 1-2 hours per day 5 days a week or so.
Tomorrow, I will get back on the bike for the first time this year. I've been leg pressing 160 lbs + body weight though so hopefully I haven't lost any leg strength!
I guess last fall I probably just burned myself out swimming 45 minutes every morning and then biking 50-100 miles a week on top of a demanding job and other school activities. Le sigh. Back to work! :D
Starting weight 156. Goal weight 150.
I'm back:( Almost 5 weeks of travel this summer made it challenging to stay on track, even though I have ridden over 400 miles and done a lot of walking while traveling. I am back up to 115.6 and would like to get back to 111 or less by the end of the challenge.
Thanks for being here- and I hope everyone does well through the next couple of months.
Sharon
I got off track the last time I signed up for this--yikes, back in Sept/Oct--but I'm glad to see that I'm down from 164 back then).
Hoping to do better now . . . starting at 156.2, aiming for 150.
thx!
Yes please! Gotta get ready for Cyclocross season!
Start: 145.0
Goal: 139.5
-- gnat!
Oh snap! Please add me too! Didn't see this one start up, as I got distracted by another project.
On the day the challenge started (the 9th) I was at 274. My goal is 260 by the end of the challenge - that's just a hair over 1.5 pounds a week.
160 on July 9. My goal for September 3rd is 150.
Hi Possegal, can I still get in?
My weight last Friday was 150lbs and I would love to be 145lbs at the end of the challenge.
Thank you!
Martina
I will probably be a little late for the first weigh in. Living with a friend on her 27' sailboat on Martha's Vineyard til Saturday :D
You coming by this way, Reesha?
yeah I'll be at my mom's in Westford from Saturday til Tuesday the 27th :)
I hope it is not to late to join. I would really like to join this challenge.
I am struggling with my weight, and would really like to lose the weight and keep it off.
My weight today (7/14) = 161
My goal weight = 150
How does the challenge work? Do we weigh in on a specific day?
I'm feeling ready to come back to the challenge again as well. I'll report tomorrow morning with a starting weight and an appropriate goal weight.
Thanks!
:)
