Hi guys, my mates call me speedy, I'm into trials, mountain biking & downhill mainly but love all kinds of bikes..
Glad you had a great trip, surlypacer!!!
We did 2 days of 7 miles and 2 days of 9 miles for 32 miles total. It was tough, but awesome. I would like to do your route on the other side of the canyon some day. Do you have pictures to share???
My legs were SOOO sore. Day 2 was rough. Every movement was agonizing. Day 3 was better, but still very sore. Day 4 wasn't bad- but that was the hike out- so by the end my calves were very angry. I got a couple of pretty gnarly blisters despite my best efforts to thwart them.
Did you blog about your trip? If so, please share! ;)
I had the same leg experience as you TriGirl. My trekking poles were very helpful as I stiffly hiked on day 2 and 3. I didn't get any blisters at all! I'm not too prone to them anyways. I wore the light trail shoes and they were excellent. (Now what do I do with my 6 pairs of hiking boots! ha!)
I have 200+ pics, but I haven't posted any online yet. (I have dial-up and it's too slow to upload much at a time.) Nor have I blogged about it. I have mostly told tales about it here :)
