Whats better is that I stopped freaking out over cost and started to think - hey thats my bike!! I never rode a carbon one. Is it different?
When I went from aluminum to carbon I didn't really notice a difference because I was just not a particularly strong or sophisticated rider. Now, I notice a huge difference from bike to bike in responsiveness and handling (not that I am particularly strong or sophisticated...just lots and lots of miles). Also, higher end bikes tend to have higher end components, which make as much of a difference.Quote:

Also - and maybe people don't like admitting to this - when you need to lift the bike to put it in the back of a ute because you've bonked in the middle of nowhere and have had to get your other half to come get you.. it's MUCH easier to lift!!! :D :o :rolleyes:
