I tried acupuncture when I was having increased number of migraine headaches. I loved my acupuncturist, she went to china and studied it but a couple of years after I started going to her, the acupuncturist society stole her to be the head of the organization.
Anyways, I always found it to be so relaxing and refreshed after I was done. I did have some tender spots when she would insert the needle and she would have to adjust some. But on the whole they don't hurt at all.
I can't say the process really helped with my headaches as I found out that it was due to my C1 being twisted from probable forceps delivery (mother doesn't remember!!), so chiropractic helps me more now.
I would definitely recommend it, even if it's just to give it a try.

Thanks, everyone, for your thoughtful replies.
After reading them and thinking about it some more, I don't think acupuncture is the right remedy for me at this time. I have an appointment scheduled for Monday and will go to that but it will be my last.
