I live where moisturizer is supplied free, in the air. Nothing quite like biking through 90% + humidity. :D
To me "low" humidity is something around 60%. :p
My issues are that the skin is happy, lungs not so much on high humidity days.
I pretty much use the same basic lotion I use every day, which currently is the 365 lotion from WF (lavender).
Glad the original poster for topic got enough response...even though, thus far, not interesting enough for more to post answers...presumably rest of folks slather on same sunscreen for face as for arms/legs, don't use any or no need to use moisturizer/sunscreen for face yet? For latter, lucky you. I used to be like that in my 20's. Absolutely no sunscreen on face at all. But back then, I wasn't spending many days, many hrs. annually outdoors doing any sort of exercise.
It may appear to be a cosmetic /vain question (ie. minimizing wrinkles, chapped face skin), but I guess I do have a somewhat serious interest in this:
I had to have my face checked to ensure that a mole (or whatever the term) was benign...it was, after the dermatologist used liquid nitrogen to burn off the lst layer, to make a proper assessment underneath..
It was just this past summer. So I continue to use Neutrogena Face Specific Sunscreen...at SFP 60 while seek other solutions for T-combination face skin. Of course, will use it also when snowshoeing or hiking in winter.
Not a lack of interest for me, I just don't think I can help anyone. I don't commute by bike, so I use moisturizer (Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle spf 15 with retinol) for everday use/under makeup and when I'm doing a long bike ride I use 70 spf sunscreen (Neutrogena Sport was my brand this year, previously used Coppertone Sport). The Neutrogena comes in a face-specific formula, which it's mostly the same ingredients as their regular stuff. I use it because it is slightly less irritating to my eyes than the regular stuff.
My shorter mid-week bike rides are at the end of the day when the sun is low, so sunscreen is not an issue there. Whatever I put on my face that morning is what's on it while I ride.
At age 45 I still have all kinds of problems with breakouts despite my skin being much dryer than is used to be. The anti-wrinkle cream with retinol helps a little, but most other lotions seem too greasy for me. Eucerin's face moisturizer with sunscreen (30 spf or maybe 45) was the least bad of all the ones I tried this summer. I'm sure the heavy sunscreen I use on weekends contributes to the problem, but I'd rather have zits than severe sunburn and skin cancer.
Neutrogena Oil-free moisturizer makes my eyes sting even when I don't put it anywhere near my eyes. And I find it's too greasy, regardless of its oil-free-ness.
That's me.;) Lately it's been Alba Botanical Sport, SPF 32. I use it daily on my face, no matter if I'm riding or not. I used to wear a different moisturizer for my face, but the current stuff seems to cover all the bases.Quote:

Either way, the best way is to reapply sunscreen often. I usually go to the cosmetic counter and try and get free samples so I can tug them in the seat pouch. I've used some over the counter brands sunblocks too but I find them expensive and since Neutrogena works well and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, I'll just stay with that one.
