If it's any help to anyone, I've found that Lucky brand jeans tend to fit me well, and I've got muscular thighs (and butt) that are "out of proportion" () to my waist.
I'm a big fan of Lucky Brand too! Not only do they fit my thighs, the waist is high enough that I don't give everyone behind me a sideways smile when I sit. (But not so high that I look like Ed Grimley)
Yes! Best news I've heard lately.
If you're not lucky with the Lucky's, try men's jeans. I have given up completely on women's jeans because I have to go up a size to fit my thighs and then I end up with a gappy waist and droopy drawers butt. But men's jeans seem to be bigger in the thighs and for some reason, they fit my butt too. My current favorites are men's Gap loose fit.
I like my thighs.
That is all.
I want to get that "hanging quads" look. *raar*

-- gnat! (and I'll give up the designer jeans to get 'em!)
Read this in Dr. Mirken's e-zine. LOVE IT! I am one of those who have had big (aka STRONG :p) thighs no matter what my weight. I've always seen women with NO BUTT.... I figured that some is genetic, and some is that they've never used that butt for anything athletic. Even when I was little I found stronger legs and butts more appealing. Good thing since I grew up to have them!
I second the Lucky Jeans -- found easily at Costco & comfy! Also, I went to Nordstrom and tried on about 30 different pair (you all know those days!) -- they had a several that fit my thighs decently, but many were quite expensive. I settled on one pair that fit excellently, and were on sale for $90. Sounded like way too much for jeans, but considering that I do not have any others that are "nicer" jeans, I will use them a lot, so will be worth it in the long run.
GNAT: BTW: EXCELLENT PHOTO!
They have Lucky Jeans at Costco?!? I, too, find that these jeans have a great fit for my thunder thighs. :)
I'll have to tell DH the news regarding thinner thighs. He's already worried about our little girl inheriting mommy's thunder thighs (granted, she's only 12 wks so she's SUPPOSED to have that fat!).
