I won't go into the details, because it was just one of those freaky things that happens on a group ride when there's not great communication. I'll have to have surgery, but not until next week because of the soft-tissue swelling. I don't think I'll ever forget this Sept 1.

Oh no!!!!!! I am so sorry. You never forget the day of a major crash, that's for sure. April 17, 2005 here (fractured pelvis). I hope you'll heal up soon, but sounds like you'll be laid up for quite awhile. So very sorry. Glad your bike made it through okay. That's a small silver lining to what must have been a terrible day. :( Please keep us posted on your recovery.
