Owie! That's a lot of hills!
I was still sore from doing stairs on Friday... but was at a friend's farm in upstate NY this weekend and ran 4.25 miles this morning, all hills (but not like yours, Oak!)

Ran a 10k race yesterday morning & went directly from running that into my long run. Ended up with 18miles for the day. It was a little rough going from race legs into the extra 12miles, but w/ the distraction of my running buddy (who also raced) we did just fine. :)
Hips are kind of tender today, other than that I feel pretty good. It was worth the PR of 52:16 for the 10k. My breathing sounded like a train during the whole thing!! It was fun.
Oak- That is a very hilly route, awesome!
Urlea...way to put the miles in. You're totally ready for the 50k!
I've been running a fair amount. Was lucky enough to get 4 runs in above 8000' this week. The total ascent for the week was about 10000'. I was sure it would be higher (felt like it)! Anyhoo, finished off the week with a fabulous 14+ mile run up a mountain here, topping off at about 11700' above MSL. After about 10500 my legs felt leaden...not enough O2, I think. It was still a great run.
Here's a wee clip I made; planning on making a longer and more thoughtful movie later. I don't know how it happens, but my running buddy and I always show up at the trailhead wearing the same thing.
Gawd I hope I survive the Crater Lake Century...must...ride...more...
Yellow, that is really pretty!
Yellow- That is beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing with us. You look very fit! :D
I used to hike trails when I was doing more nature photography, but just recently started running them. LOVE IT!! There is so much more to see when you can cover those miles.
What were you using to take the video for that? I have been wanting to shoot some of my runs.
Cool video Sue. I like the slipping and sliding over the snow.

Great time on the 10K Urlea! And Yellow, (as usual) just wow. :)
I just sent you a long rambling PM about cameras and filming and such.
V, we almost took a different route off of the mountain down a snowfield but got to the top and decided that wasn't a good idea without an ice axe. :p Maybe next time. If I feel like carrying my axe all the way up there (so probably not).
Here's a sample of the flower variety. Not the greatest photography but it gives you an idea of the color fiesta. It was nuts.
