Beer and any kind of salty snack I can find.
Pretzel sandwiches with cheese in between (I think they're Snyder's?).
Peanuts.
Chocolate chips.
CA
Plain Lays Chips.....we eat them on the way home from racing, we do not even wait until the day after munchies.....
m&m's: plain or peanut, I like them both!
Starburst jellybeans
Baked Lays BarBQue Potato chips. (Baked -that's almost healthy!)
It's a 12 hour endurance road race. You ride as far as you can in 12 hours. There is a big loop (that's the 120 miles I did this weekend) and a smaller loop, that's relatively flat (only one real climb and that's only 3 miles long - interesting how my perspective has changed). You have to complete the big loop to get an official finish and then you do as many miles on the small loop as possible. I'm doing this as a 2 woman relay team with SprocketsMom. It's on Sept 6th and it's gonna be fun!!! All of my crazy ultra endurance buddies will be there. I'm very excited.:D:D
Yup, I probably told you 25 miles but it's actually 27. Hee hee. SprocketsMom came out for the big ride with me this weekend. She had a difficult day but toughed it out. We're gonna be a good team.
Pass the chips...........
Route 44 Coke easy on the ice, so yes 44 oz of coke!
Also have stopped at Dairy Queen for Blizzards, Cold Stone Creamery for a big ol' ice cream and EZ's for a half pound burger with cheese and bacon, fries/onion rings and a shake. Oh yes and I forgot Woody's Ice House after the Katy Flatland, another massively oversized burger.
This wasn't after the same ride but lets just say eating well after a century or so is not my strong point. My excuse is the Texas heat really makes you nutty but I have never been strong with food. It is amazing I am not more overweight than I am.
Most recent long ride was the Enchanted Circle (85 miles of mountains and hills), I ate a salad with ranch, fried fish and chips. Plus kept the poor water busy by having 5 or 6 cokes. Then stopped by the Fudge shop in Red River. :o
You all are making me hungry. Stomach is growling.
Of cousre I am try to LOSE weight. I am at work and have a lovely lunch of frozen veggies and grilled chicken and a plum. What I really want/need right now is a brownie or choc chip cookie. :(
Oh well!
Brownies (soft and fudgy...if available), otherwise Terra chips (which are healthy only in the way yams and beets and yukon gold potatos can be after being deep fried, in healthy oil I'm sure;), and covered with salt. If neither of those are available, white cheddar cheese covered popcorn!!!!
+1 on the brownies :D
