No rattlesnakes, either...:p
Have fun on that nap.

Wow, that's still 30 kmh avg on the bike - pretty darn good if you ask me. And a 5:42 km on the run. Yowza. I could be so lucky to have those kind of tiems on a sprint let alone a HIM.
Seeing as how I'm not like Veronica - do you think I could do an Oly AND a HIM next summer?
It was such a great experience to be able to see Wahine race :D Even when she's tired, she is very strong looking. No lying on the pavement, either. Not from what I saw, at least :D
I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The race was a blast (of course this is coming from me, who sat on her backside most of the time), the company was fantastic, the food was good, and we almost got to go down a waterslide. Almost.
I learned a bit of Wahine trivia, she has GOOD taste in food both before a race and after :D
Wahine, I hope you're feeling better. Sleep up and I hope the stairs aren't too painful :p:eek:
Whooo-HOOOOOOO, Wahine!!! :D
Sounds like a race to be proud of! Especially powering through the painful parts.
Hope the soreness wears off quickly.
I would like to go on record as saying that Teigyr's company was excellent and that she has very good taste in food and music!!
Also.... a half a bottle of cab sauv will cure whatever ails you. My legs still hurt like h3!! but I don't really care at this point. So recovery tip, have a bottle of cab sauv available for the next day.:D;)
Niiiiiiccceee race Wahine!!!! Congrats on a great time. Although it's not a PR- who cares? You kicked butt on a really tough course!!!! Kudos to you!
I can only DREAM of a 5:30 half some day (and even in my dreams I'm not that fast). Heck, I'd love to break the 7 hour mark.
Nice work, Wahine! Way to kick up that run!! :D :D
It's fun that we can somewhat relate to the experience, even if we all feel so much slower. ;)
I really wish this race was BEFORE my Ironman, now it sounds like a perfect setup. At least now I know a little more about the course... way to be the guinea pig ;)
Colby - it's actually pretty well run, nice venue and good course. The pre race meeting goes over everything in detail (to the point of me wanted to leave because I was bored) but the logistics are not as bad as you might think. If fact, if you have a driver, it's really easy. I would do this race again.
Where was it?
Spokane.
I am so impressed. There are such variations in courses, it really is hard to compare one to the other. I should only be so brave to give so much that I would hurt for days. Way to go! I do believe you are redeemed.
Congrats! Great race!
