I actually put off looking at this thread because I was having a grumpy day and was pretty sure that I couldn't contribute anything positive to say about someone else's "blue period". Now I'm so glad I opened it. I love those paintings!!:cool:

Hey, on this board, the topic could be about anything.
Er...yea, saw this one in London last October. http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/cg...?workNumber=L9 I wanted to stand in front of it and stare lots longer, but my family was already heading to the next room. The Van Goghs were stunning, speaking of missing ears...could have spent weeks in there.
Picasso rocks. But then, so does sundial. ;)

I too was wondering whether this was a gynecological, psychological or artistic thread. I'm glad curiosity finally overcame reticence. Lovely paitings, Sundial! :)
Sundial,
Would you post a link to your other paintings? I'd love to look at more of them.
Aw shucks. :oQuote:

One of my favorite prints is Albrecht Durer's Meloncolia. Durer always had a sense of humor, even during his period of feeling the blues. The expression on the angel is priceless. I can attest many a times I've sat in my studio bumfuzzled and frustrated over a painting that fizzled out.
luvnAustin, here's my website: www.cathyburge.com
Wow! Those are beautiful! Forgive my newbie ignorance, but do you have your work exhibited anywhere?
Never mind. I just found the link you posted
Hey! you transitioned to blue ever so graciously!
good work. I hope you sell lots of stuff.
and I love Durer, he's been one of my heros for half a century!
those are rad.
Wow, those are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for putting of the link to your page I'm loving looking through everything.
Thank you everyone. :) I enjoy working in blues--it's a nice departure from the warm tones. My favorite blue color is Prussian blue. It's very moody, deep and mysterious.
Wow....these are amazing! You are extremely talented :)
Wow! Love all of your paintings! They are all so vivid. Thanks for sharing!
