My first race!!!!!Race report (kinda long)

Great job! It's hard to believe that was your first one.

I can't even picture starting in the 18th wave! How did you stand the stress? And a field of almost 2500... Wow...

Yeah, it was kinda anxiety-provoking having to wait such a long time, but I chatted with other women from my training group and cheered for those who went before me to ease the tension. The sheer scale and number of competitors was totally scary, though!! It was just a sea of people in the transition area, but on the other hand, there were lots of spectators cheering everyone on! The local people whose homes are on the bike course stood outside and cheered too, it was really nice :)
