Their guess is Newfie/Plotthound but the description says they really don't know. I don't see the Plott in her but Newfie is a definite yes.
I have a Dane and he loves to laze around indoors. He also takes a daily run around the yard and do goofy Dane moves. He's not the most graceful of dogs but very much the clown! Right now he's snoring on the couch. LOL

Is that a cat in the lower right corner, making a comment on the dane's sleeping:p :p :p
I think she's a Heinz.....as in "57 Varieties"! :p
She is a cutie, and I must stay off that PetFinder site as much as possible, because I want to take them ALL home!
Hmmm...to me, she looks like Angela Rogers, my first girlfriend.
Of course, this is before she lost her front teeth in 1st grade.
I just looked again....

YEP, IT'S ANGELA;)
Isn't it funny how we can sometimes see the resemblence to people in animals that seem to have personality???
aaawwww, now I want a great dane even more... :p
yep, that's gotta be a cat in the bottom righthand corner, and I'll bet the coffee I'm drinking that it's saying something snarky about the dog :D
Ah yes. The cat would be miss Gina who likes to supervise the dogs and swat at them as they pass by. She's a lovely shelter kitty who was on death row because the vet said she was preggers. Funny thing is she never did have those kittens and has never come into heat. Needless to say I didn't use the same vet the shelter did! Scary when a vet can't tell the difference between a pregnant cat and a spayed one!!! I need to get some good pics of her.
Here's my favorite Tiger the Dane pic. It shows off his personality perfectly.

How in the world do you spend time on those rescue sites without either becoming seriously depressed or adopting hundreds of dogs? I already have four--three big ones and a medium-sized one. We have the space, so it works. My favorite of the four is the Doberman cross--she's smart, very obedient, and beautfully athletic (the best frisbee dog ever!). My husband is partial to border collies. Bonnie is amazing indoors--she just lies somewhere out of the way and watches our every move. But she wouldn't make it in an apartment. Her good behavior is dependent on her getting enough exercise (mostly herding the other dogs). My kids' favorite is the lab cross.
I've always wanted greyhounds, but we can't have dogs indoors anymore (son's allergies). If I'm ever looking again, I'll probably go for another Doberman or doberman cross--or maybe a pointer. Unless I get stuck with more border collies, of course.
I can't afford the vet bills that come with ownership so for now I'm a foster parent. If I should find myself in a more favorable financial situation I'll consider a permanent resident but for now I'm glad to provide a temporary alternative to a stressful kennel until someone adopts http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...ellBehaved.jpgMinnie Yipperton.
has Minnie calmed down at all?
(dang, she's cute...)
Thankfully yes :p , she has calmed down some.
She's a funny dog. Lucy was good at sleeping in the crate but this one hates it so I've caved and she sleeps on the bed.
But she doesn't sleep on the bed, she noses under the covers and sleeps down around my feet. To watch her travel under the covers is like something out of a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
Vet bills and pet food. I can't believe how much we spend on the animals! Right now I'm dealing with a paralized cat (the general consensus is that someone hit or kicked him really hard). Thankfully my vet likes me. She's only charging me for the shots, not the visits. I can't imagine what the costs would be Stateside.
I'm impressed that you foster dogs. It must be sad to see them go, though.
