I was having a similar problem with the 'rubbing in the nether regions'. I started using Body Glide on my chamios. BIG help. Rubbing it in all the nooks and crannys of the nether regions in addition the the chamios helps even futher. We're talking four and 1/2 hour rides five days in a row without any soreness. (Road rides) I also switched to a Selle Italia SLR road bike seat. It flexes in the center and at the nose for all of the bumps, and there are all sorts of positions to ride in this saddle to relieve all sorts of pressure. I would not take anything for this saddle.
I have enjoyed reading about the chamios choices out there. I am a sport rider in the mountain world, but I am still learning.
I agree with the Terry liberators. My BF and I both love the Ti-race, but niether of us like the specific mens/women's models. Makes things easier I suppose.
I like Performance's shorts. In the warmer months my fasion is usually Zoic or performance padded shorts with hiking shorts over. I need pockets;)
