My recumbent sits in the garage for now. My 21 year old daughter moved back in and all her stuff is sitting in the dining room that was empty except for the drumset. No dining table yet, and probalby not for a while now. My husband devised a nice, padded holder to put the bike up against the wall of the garage when we need the space ,like now when I'm painting new doors for the kitchen cabinets on the weekends. My house is a work in progress.
Donna :D
Heh, heh... have you ever seen a 175 lb mastiff quiver in complete fear at the sight of a ....... balloon??? Absolutely terrified of them. Someone gave me one of those really nice mylar balloons, and I had to keep it outside - the dog refused to walk past it! (Okay, and the dog's owner is afraid to pop the balloon, so who can really blame the dog!)Quote:

both hubby's and my bike live in the garage! for transport we have a hitch rack for the back of his truck. mine will fit in the back of my car (2-door accord) with the seats down and front wheel off.. his with both wheels off.. but not at the same time... so we always just take the truck if we have to travel to a start point!
we have a few shelves designated as bike gear for helmets, shoes, gloves, etc!
Looks like I'm the only one that keeps my bike in the kitchen!
I have an extremely small house and no garage and no dining room.
My bike and my husband's bike "snuggle" together leaning against the wall - blocking the entrance to the kitchen (from the living room) and blocking the door to the outside patio. It's the only space we have!
I almost hate to admit this but our bikes are kept in my stained glass studio. Yeah, glass and road bike tires mix together about as well as beer and testosterone. So far no punctures, but I did vacuum well and haven't cut any glass in awhile. ;)

Ooops! Make that husband's (bikes!) Crazy things happen when I type too fast... :)
I love the Element - just got it in May. Perfect ride for a couple of cycling geeks! :) (That would me my husband and me, not my two husbands!!)

Right now our bikes are kept in the shed in the back yard. The thing is, I'm bringing the really long recumbent home Friday and the shed is already full.
I'll think of something....eventually...[sound of gears turning]
...still pondering...
Recumbant is long...
couch is long...
behind the couch maybe
Re: 'bent behind couch.
Good idea. Except. We already have 2 guitars and a viola there.
