THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Jane aka Teigyr from Seattle :D I received your package today!
Wowie..Do you & your hubby make candles? The candle, cup & card are on our showcase and will tell people about the cool blue candle! Do you work for Alaska Airlines?
The Mariners shirt fits nicely and will wear it often! Are you a mariners fan?
Mmmmmmmm...fig newtons..mmmmm..:D Chocolate covered coffee beans..mmmmmm
The fig newtons will be used this weekend I can assure you!!!
Thank you again!
A small thank you package will be in the mail soon.
C
CC, I'm glad you liked them :D
I actually wanted to get you a hockey shirt but it was post-season and our team (equivalent of a minor league team) doesn't have a team store or anything. The M's are about as Seattle as a team can get though! The stadium is beautiful, I recommend going.
DH makes candles! That was his idea, I'm glad it didn't get broken. He enjoys Tales of TE and wanted to contribute :)
Yes, I work for the airline :) While I don't assume people want logo things, I thought the mug was pretty.
You HAD to get Fig Newtons! We tried Costco for the super jumbo size but, alas, they didn't have them. Enjoy :D
Thank you package? Oh my....thank you so much!
Wowy Zowy! Kiwi yarns are soooo beeeautiful! And then all that power food ... gu and cookies and ... uh oh, Tim Tams  :p Thank you, thank you secret sis! Now, who's a TE lady from NZ? I gather there were consultations with UK elephant. Maybe if I tickle her hard enough she'll tell me, but international conventions against torture are under more than enough pressure already. Better not. Better research this myself via TE posts.
Margo49...thank you so much. I came home from my first ever century ride and saw this package. I was tired and later in the eve, my DH brought it over to me. There were 'twin' pkgs. Yes, my DH and I love honey and will definitely enjoy every taste. Wow, I can't believe the birds you have and your story of the storks and cranes make me envious. We have a lot of goose that fly in flock and I enjoy hearing their honking as they fly over. I poured over your bird chart. I don't know the names of many birds, but I sure to enjoy my 'birding' experiences. I would love to see a Hoopoe or a European Bee-Eater or a Little Green Bee-Eater or a Rufous Bush Robin or a ... the list can go on. Wow, do you ever see a Rose-Ringed Parakeet? What fun!!! Oh, and the Kingfishers....WOW!!! Can you tell I really like to see birds. Thank you for letting me know more of your family. You write so eloquently. Again, thank you....
Wow! I was just thinking they may be starting to get close to their destination! Well done the Postal Service(s).
Soooo glad you liked the "twin" parcels.
And fancy you mentioning the Rufous bush robin! It is one of my minor favourites and an inspiration to femininity (to me anyway - that just goes to show how desperate I am, lol :o  )
Janice - Thank you thank you thank you!!! Your box of goodies arrived intact - glass jars and all. You truly made it a "local flavor" box! Especially with the homemade crabapple jelly. I can't wait to get into it - I have never had crabapple jelly - is it good with peanut butter? ;) And the honey - made right in your neighborhood. How cool is that?? Thank the bees for me! As for the pretzels from Trader Joe's - the closest one to me is about 60 miles away so I rarely get over there....and to think you have one just down the road. The tin of bittersweet chocolates is in my purse.....unopened so far.....check with me later this afternoon. :D :D I love the Rosie the Riveter note card and the stickers, and last, but not least (well....maybe least  ) Thanks for the Dubya magnet. I will avoid too much of a political comment....but just know I agree with you - if we can just survive the next 1 1/2 years......
Again, Thank you so much! Yes, it would have been nice to have had it delivered in person, but getting it out of the mail was fun, too. I apologize that you had to "nudge" me to go to the P.O.! -jane
Tri Girl!!!!
I wore those cute socks you got me and they must be good luck – when I wore them I topped a 15% hill for ther first time without resorting to my triple. It know it was the socks!!! :D Also, the goodies came in handy, too. In fact, I think my whole ride would have been a bust without my SS gift!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful gift. You made my week! XOXO
So glad it made it--I had visions of honey oozing all over the equipment at the post office. Crabapple jelly is great with peanut butter! There's so much sugar in it that it's not tart at all.
I knew I was taking a risk with the magnet, but I thought it was so funny that I just had to get it...and he IS part of our local flavor for a while longer.
I'll plan on making it to the Tour de Madison next year!
Ann (Duck on Wheels?) - thanks so much for the package that arrived yesterday! I had to go out and do a search on Hell :D , but quickly found it and laughed to read about it freezing over. The lip balm is perfect (I don't wear lipstick, but LOVE lip balm), and the wine stopper will DEFINITELY get put to good use :D .
Thanks again for the great gift!
SheFly
Thank you to my Secret Salt Lake City Sister!!!
Lots of great goodies to taste and other local sounds and sights! Wow! Thank you!
I just recieved an awesome green tee shirt from BC, Canada! I can't wait to wear it. I haven't had time to figure out who you are but thank you SS!
Patty
My dear SS, who remained secret  (but I'm working on descovering your secret identety), i received your gift yesterday. Thank you so much, it was such a lovely surprise after my exam. Everything was so nice, especially those sparkling stars that were all over my gifts. It looked amazing :D I'm like a child, I adore all little sparkling things :D
and those magnets were really great (I have my little collection on the fridge, so they are now a nice addition)
and all the other things, were just
and yeah, I almost forgot... that "magic" beans - great!!!... I finally figured it out what it is.
so THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH :)
I'd like to add thank you note to my SS (I think it was my february SS) that sent me red shirt with lilttle hearts. I'm total hit with it, everyone asks me where I bought it.
thank you
It's come at last - via China, I think and being set aside as "extra-suspicious to be checked more thoroughly" at every single stop-over...
How do we ss's seem to telepathically find such appropriate things? It can't be just from reading the ss's posts.
MomOnBike has sent me a t-shirt with a gracious-looking sand-hill crane [I love birds] and "Nebraska" in nice letters on it. A *huge* box of things - chokeberry jelly [now how does she know I am a jam maker?], a sweet summery-smelling candle [ how does she know I like that kind of smell :"Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing thru the jasmine in my mi-i-i-nd ;60's left-over that I am], an amazing bendable wire sculpture of a bike and rider - even the hair is bendy so I have bent it streaming backwards like the rider is flying downhill in a headwind (a la Richard Virenque in the TdF in the late '90's).
And more...popcorn the whole family can share, a lippy balm all natural, a key thingy (so my key won't have to go topless, she says in a tiny note taped to it, lol. Actually several things had teeny notes on them)
Thank you MomOnBike - I was not worried as things sometimes take forever in the mail here; but I imagine you were.
WOW! Just came home from a weekend being hubby's pit crew/fan club and found my SS package waiting for me. Inside I found a beautiful print of Tour of California riders winding along the most dramatic stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway during stage 4 of the tour. Special ordered, just for me. I LOVE it! It's heading straight for the frame shop. And California socks to boot! Need to do some detective work to figure out who this is. Thank you so much!
