I can't get to the Terry site, is it a sign???
I don't know. But it does not "feel" like a girl to me. Girls don't talk about "around the water cooler", do we? That's what guys do...anyway. It's a gross post, and I hope they pull it soon. Sigh. Thread Drift wasn't started as a "talk about inappropriate and rude stuff here" thread. And I have a feeling that if somebody started to post such things here, we'd isolate and eject them pretty quickly.Quote:

Oh, but wait, then I'd be a crazy middle aged cat woman nut case. OK. Never mind.

fishdr--I love the idea of BikerZ meeting at the airport with a sign saying Team Danger Mouse . Although. She might end up face down on the tile with armed guys questioning her...on the other hand...a more benign sign might be in order.

I cannot imagine flying without lipbalm or eye drops. I'm going into business selling q-tips with vaseline on them, one at a time, for $5 each, right after security. Whatdya think? Millionaire in a week? ;)

Nanci, the stories about your DD are so sweet. I really love the walking in and sitting down at the first house on the trick or treat route. Maybe she saw their big bowl of candy, and said, "I'm good right here!" Sorry about the smoking thing. That one is so tough to watch.
Dill used to like to help type- he'd go running across the keyboard. I'd always just leave it in.
Still can't get to Terry...
Just a sign to keep trying, sister! I have my Zero X, got it through LBS with my gift certs, haven't had any time to even put it on the bike. We can try them out together and compare notes.Quote:

You just reminded me that it's August, and time to order my Terry Bolero!!
I ordered two Ibex wool t-shirts (a pink Q-T and a lavender Agate T) and a pair of Chaco fisherman sandals I can wear at work.
Oh, and I just bought a steel Waterford bike.
Dang, I gotta stop this computer-purchasing stuff!
Edit: oh, and airplane tickets! I also bought airplane tickets this week off the computer! Geeeez, Louise!!
Terry's server is definitely down. :( I am buying it from them because of the return policy. Or I should say the satisfaction guaranteed policy.
Knotted, what bike did you get?? What color?

apropos of nothing (as befits TD), I got a stand for my exercise ball. I have a fairly small apartment, and the danged thing rolls all over. Almost fell over it coming out of the bedroom this morning. If I wedge it somewhere, like in a closet, I forget about altogether. I don't use it enough as it is!
My niece and nephew LOVE to play with it when they come over. One day my nephew found my little free weights, and was really craving some of his own. I don't know that his folks will be thrilled, but tomorrow I'm giving him a small exercise ball and two 3# weights for his 7th b-day. In the aisle at Target, I saw this stand. It's a plastic ring you snap together. What a boon. Now the thing will stay put, and it will be easier to use it, too. I don't like all that rolling around when I'm lying on it!
Nanci - It's Limewave's, she had it for sale in the "For Sale" forum. I just about hurt my self typing madly to send her a PM. It's my size and everything! And I can pick it up when I'm in the midwest at Christmas!

I really have to stop buying stuff now. (until I get the Waterford... hee hee! She'll need some Frogs and a Brooks and seat bag and...)
That's such a great deal, I think you should be allowed to spend the savings!!!
Ooooh Nanci! Bad! That's a dangerous thing to tell a madwoman with a new bike! I'll not take responsibility! AAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!
hehehe
oooh. So DPITA actually remembered that she'd told me she'd get me that Brooks saddle as an early B-day present (um... 5 mos early?) so that's awesome. =) It was funny, saying "Honey, the ladies on the forum have had them close to 30 years. I mean... $67 investment for 30 years of enjoyment... if you wanted, I could give you two bucks a year for it!"
She said "That's silly. You're not even 30 yet! How would you know anything about 30 year old saddles?!" weird?
Someone's a little sensitive that 3-0 is getting closer every year. *huf* she needs to know I think she's beautimus the way she is, and I probably couldn't understand/mesh with her the way I do if she were 21. =P
Knotted--- DPITA won't kill you for the bike, etc? I want pics when you finally get her. I'm thinking of a black leather saddle bag for miss Cakes... the rough mtb meets smooth leather and functionality look... *sighs* I'm a nerd. At least you ladies understand me!:p

I'm with you on that Lise and everyone else! I'm pretty new here and couldn't believe what I was reading.
PS - how do you do that quote thing where you get a blue box?
Man, I go to work for a moment, take a break and all heck's broken out on TD. I'd better stop working :p
