awwww, they are both cuties :p
Treeeeeeeeeeeeeek...... :o  :D
Yes, the one and only photo you guys will *ever* have without my black shades. :D
Haha, I saved a copy quick before Trek can take it off. :D
All the pictures have been wonderful to see. Everyone looks so nice. :)
Kit-you are so lovely and you have beautiful eyes. Thanks Trek for sharing that pic of Kit. :D
Ok, since I didn't ask permission it's going .... going ..... countdown ..... ok, Bmof3 has seen it....
eh, Don't take it off... I'm ok with it. :D DGF;s a cutie, eh? I lucked out :) AANNND she can tolerate me! Totally lucky! :D :D :D
Oh YEAH?.....well what about this one!:

ha ha!
whew! so much stuff!
Glad most everyone is doing good.
memo to self: do not sign for bicycle rides with more rides that your hometown had when you graduated from high school.
I made it 109 miles without falling off my bike! Yeah! Aside from my Jacket that kept on falling out of my jersey (it was a leftover from when I weighed 300+), and having to for the road to clear up enough to pass. Not to mention the 500+ mile one-way drive. I'm probably going to bump an El Tour thread so the non-TD ladies can blab. And this was good practice , since I'm supposed to visit my mom in a couple of weeks , and she only has dial-up. (this means you all will have a Photo posting contest, then. right? )
Hey kit
Your DGF is quite nice looking and you look lovely together.
c
KIIIIT!!! You are so CUUUUUUUTE!!!! (both of you, that is the collective "you")
What cute lil' baby d*kes! <said in smarmy voice, cuz I'm older than you and decided I could!>
Dang, girl, you guys are sweet in that pic Trek posted!
I gotta figure out the timer on my camera so I can get one of us in December. Or maybe Spazzdog could take it.
Omigod
I am FINALLY caught up and I got to see how cute Kit really is. I always suspected she was cute. Now I know for sure.
I want to know where all you guys got those nice pictures you are pretending are you and your SO's!!
I think i'm going to do this a different way for you all. I am going to show my new haircut and one of my cousins (from my recent trip to Italy). This one's name is Cicciu figlio di Saverio
to everyone that knows him. He's one of a MILLION Francesco Torchia's in their town, so to differentiate from the others he has this nickname.
when he talks I can hardly understand him because he speaks dialect.. and likes to quote old sayings.

Newsflash, I am going to meet Eden after dinner!
Nice "'do. :) I love Italian. I think if I was going to learn another language that would be it. Wish I could afford to go to Italy when we're in France next summer...
I think that pic of Kit proves to Margo that she really is 22(ish?). If she's not, then she's clearly younger, not older. :)
I'm so jealous of all of you who get to go riding with fellow TE'ers. Wish some lived way up here. Well actually, I could go ride with LBTC in Vernon but she mainly MTbikes and I have a long way to go to improve my tech skills.
:D Thank y'all kindly. :D
The real test comes when I take her 'home' to visit my parents and go for a hunting trip. My parents only really accept people who can go hunting etc. Ex could... we'll see if she can. ;) Someday, mebbe, I can bring home someone who can hunt w/ the best of 'em... 'til then? I'll have to sloooowly introduce her to "cute furry creatures as food". It's a long process. :D
Oh, and don't mind me. :D
yessss I'm 'round 20--something. We won't go into particulars (thankyou!)
Lisa SH- I like that pic, it shows off (just a little) my biceps (without trying)... someday I'll post a pic of my body-builderish physique, I swear. ;)
Wow! Mimi! Check out that family resemblance! Very cool!
I've been thwarted in my alcoholic endevours. I was gonna have peppermint schnapps in hot cocoa and brownies for a friend who is coming over. (we've made a little tradition of getting together to watch "The Amazing Race" lately. And we gossip about the ridiculous soap opera that is my life.)
Well, I went to the liquor store to get the schnapps, and they are closed on Sundays! Lets you know how often I buy hard booze, eh? So I went to the grocery store and bought a Barefoot Merlot. Not to put in the cocoa, but should go well with the brownies. (I'm testing it right now to be sure. :D )
BTW, for you non-Washingtonians, liquor is only sold in state-run liquor stores here.
I'm drinking a really different white wine that I picked up a little winery when we were away on another of our "honeymoons" a few weeks ago. It's called Suntuoso. Really different and quite yummy.
We can only buy liquor in liquor stores too, also closed today. We have beer and wine stores now, relatively new concept here, but I don't know if they're open on Sundays or not. I'm so used to not being able to buy on Sunday I always make sure we're stocked up. In BC, it's easier to buy pot than booze. :D
Funny. Here in OR sometimes it's easier to buy pot than booze (if ya know the right people!)
I remember working in a gas station w/ booze on the counter (vodkas, sex on the beach, pucker, etc) and truckers would come in and be surprised that we'd sell beer etc on the sabbath.
Um. yeah. :D Man, beer on Sunday?! Sunday's not the sabbath, it's GAME DAY! You can't watch a Packer game without BEER!!! GEEZ!!!
Now if only I could get DGF into hunting, fishing, and hip waders, I think I'd almost be set for life! Go figure! :D It's the bullheaded WI girl in me, I swear!
X- I left something just for you I hope you like it. :D
Knot- I *like* your rediculous soap opera life. I mean god, you worked hard enough for it... :D
...my head... is splitting... in half. CWR- grab some snow and some duct tape. thissus going to be a loooong night.
KnottedYet "I gotta figure out the timer on my camera so I can get one of us in December. Or maybe Spazzdog could take it"
My bad, I should have had some take a pic when we were on the ALC training ride.
Or stopped a tourist on the bridge "you, on the rental bike wth your helmet on backwards, c'mere"
so not to change the subject (but this IS TD) The last I heard was that Nanci was getting a snake and the snakeseller turned out to be an unsavory character that sold sick wild snakes instead of fat happy domestic snakes..
The next thing I know (and i DID go back and read every post!) she's got a new snake! where did that one come from??
and great news about my sister:( . Not only is she not talking to me, but my mother got involved too; and she lacks my restraint.... and they had a shriekng hissing scratching fight (via email and phone) and now they're not speaking either. and the very ironic part about it? My sister was mad because my dh didn't apologize... well, he actually did. (and there is an email to prove it, thanks to the wonders of computers)
Snap- yes I do have Wine Enthusiast! Good luck trying to ever live without it now! I always check stuff out now at restaurants and at the store. And I log every bottle I ever drink- I have them rated Love, Like A Lot, Buy Again, Don't Buy Again, and BF Likes. I eventually get the tasting notes in there, too. My notes.
I am thinking of just plain Z, is that stupid?
We had a wonderful photo session outside today. He is SO fun. He just burrows his pointy little nose into either my hand or the ground and stays there.
I think I got Dill in 1997, the year before I moved to Florida, the last year I was happily married. Mother's Day present. So that makes him coming up nine, but it sure seems like a lifetime.
I saw two Chloes at Petsmart today. They were very well-behaved.
OMG, my friend Todd, not a BF, but diving buddy, ex-roomie, totally got me through French guy dumping me- gave me $100!!! toward Z's new viv as a birthday present. Geez...
My dresser...Z is on the right, Addy on the left. They are in hiding, though. I like it!
Living room: Inez on the top, Choco on the bottom.
Wow Nanci, your house is so cool! The kids in my class would love it!
I especially love the closeup. :)
Nanci - do you ever get to try any Okanagan (BC) wines?
No, KG, I never have. We're lucky to see any NY wines here.
Nanci
I just got back from Eden's house. She lent me a bike to try out. I met her cute husband and adorable cats. (and Eden too, she is cute too.) the whole family was cute. lol. So this week I will put a seat and pedals on it and hopefully,
the deluge will stop long enough so that I can take the bike for a spin.
Meanwhile, at Eden's house:
My husband and her husband started talking about Davidson bikes, tire sizes, etc, while I fell in love with her kitten who is a miniature version of my cat Aggie. Here's Aggie:
http://www.sersale.org/bike/aggie2.jpg
oooh, nice garden too. What's that in the background? Foxglove?
we're almost to 500 pages of TD
Just popping in quick so I don't waste too much time at work tomorrow catching up:p
Got my little home and in bed, all safe and sound. Had a good day cleaning, reorganizing, etc. Very productive.
Love all the pix: Lisa, you and hubby are adorable, Kit and dgf, so very cute (she has gorgeous eyes!), Mimi, love the new 'do on you, Nanci and pets, very cool.
'Night TD, see you in the am.
MIMI - Aggie looks *exactly* like one of my sweet kitties I had named Remmie - actually it was Remington Steel (as in gun metal gray steel, not the bozo actor) and I called him Remmie for short. He was my heart but I lost him to cystitis. I lost one other cat to cystitis as well, TBO (The Bad One). He was black and full of life. When I got Remmie, TBO would "nurse" him as tho he were his "mom". It was so sweet in a preverse kinda way.....
I soooooo miss my cats. :( DH is deathly allergic so I can't have any more
Mimi-your pics are wonderful. Cute haircut. :) I am pleased your visit with Eden went well. I may be one of the few who has not met someone from the list. :(
Nanci-I love your house! My boys would go crazy in there. Z is adorable and I think quite a suitable name.
What is new with me? Started tghe day our poorlyt and it just continued a downward slide. I had to cancel our Thanksgiving plans (SIL was going to visit) as our garage door is beyond the scope of DH's repairs. He made a valiant effort, but it cannot be saved. More debt. :(
Yeah Mimi I like your haircut too- very chic. That picture is way cool of the Italian relatives in kitchen.
And Kit- I was thinking she has gorgeous eyes too! Practically illegal eyelashes...
DH got an unplanned "new" bike yesterday (actually it's 8yrs old but almost mint, 500+/-miles), he going to make some changes to it and it's a beaute. It's so nice to see him excitedly ordering new chainrings, etc.
G'night all...
Wow, look at all the wonderful pics tonight. :D
Lisa, I hope you know that guy. ;) Very handsome hubby and you're just as cute as cute can be.
mimi - Yes, quite the family resemblance there. I like the new 'do' BTW.
Knot - We only have liquor in state stores too. No beer either, have to go to a distributor. Sucks on Sundays when yer running low or really just need a good belt. Soap opera? Nah. Your life is in a fantastic spot right now. Never regret anything about how you got to this point. When it comes down to it, I'm sure you'd endure much more just to be right where you are. Cherish everything that made it what it is, hon. Savor every morsel of what's in front of you now. :)
Well, now I wouldn't say that. I've got a very nice one of Kit, all cute and adorable. No shades. What'll we start the bidding at, hmmm? **whispering** psst! hey, you got the pic? yeah, I got the pic. how much? how much you got? wait, ssshh, here she comes...**talking loud again**
Just kidding, Kit! :D
**whispering** hey, I know how old she really is too. hehehe **rubs hands together**
Oh, BTW, I caught that one you slid in a mile away. Nice. Very nice.
Well, Offthegrid, Allezgirl and I had a very nice ride today on a paved trail near AG's house followed by a delicious dinner out. Just wanna say thank you to AG for all her hospitality tonight. Love the architecture of your place. Your son is just delightful. I want his shoes. :D OTG, you are a warm and funny woman and it was my pleasure meeting you today. Keep up the good work girl. You look fantastic. You did great out there today and I'd ride with you anytime.
So, I've got a few pics of the PA girls today. Here ya go ladies. I'm in red, OTG is in yellow and AG is in gray. Then the three bikes. And... a bonus shot just for sh*ts and giggles. I think I have a crush.:D (Don't worry AG, I'll just send your shot to you later. You didn't think I'd actually do that to you, did you? ;))
You know I'm gonna pull a Knot and delete that last one, don't you? Get it while you can cause it's already counting down. Wheeeeeee!!! ~ 5, 4, 3, 2, ... Whoops, Gone!
My LV trip: http://good-times.webshots.com/album/555711613dWHixL
Not the bestest work I've done, photo wise. What the heck, I was half lit the entire trip....
Wow, I got to see it. You and... who's that? some important actor, I know that.
X, how nice that you guys got together and rode. Poor Fredwina, several pages back here, mentioned she'd actually ridden her bike. We didn't respond..
So far the biggest surprise for me here was Jennifer. She looks much too young to have those 3 giant sons!!
I kicked arse this weekend, but it wasn't on my bike. SOMETIMES the bike has to take back burner. Got the basement all reorganized, cleaned, and some new furniture stained and now varnishing it.
thanks for the compliments on my hair. I guess i like it too. I look less like a waif. And thanks for noticing my family resemblance. It is very strange to go to a foreign country, 11 hours away on an airplane and find a big giant family full of people who resemble my father, brother, sister, grandfather, me..
It's getting to be the witching hour. You know, when I go to bed and people say amazing things and then delete them.
buona notte!
PS Snap, you really DO look like your avatar!
It's scary.
I don't look like Alfonsina (my avatar) but she does resemble one of my grandmothers... who never EVER rode a bike!
