Can the logo be a toad in a martini glass...?
We need to factor in alcohol somehow.
I must confess I have a brood of feral cats living in my backyard. It started with me innocently feeding one, who decided the living was good here and had three babies a year ago June. One of which we didn't catch in time. She managed to have two babies this past April, for a total of 6 girl kitties, 5 that have been neutered.
We bought a trap and have been neutering like crazy since January. Well, we're not doing the neutering... a local vet is...
We had a bunch of boy kitties move in. If they got caught in the trap, they got done. Only one of them has continued to hang around. He won't let me near him. I fear the others are no longer with us...
The six females will all let me touch them to various degrees. I still need to catch the current mama. Her babies have been neutered this week, but she refuses to go in the darn trap. Fortunately, she's one I can pick up if I'm quick. I may just have to pick her up and stuff her in the trap.

its not a martini glass, but it has alcohol
v - i'm suprised those cats still come around you, the word must've gotten out about getting snipped.
or.....
maybe it has and they like the drugs.
I think the girls are happy because they get left alone. And I think being a feral cat mum is hard work. The current mum is so skinny, even though I feed her. They like the free food and water. It's hot here, 90s most days through the summer, so the water sometimes is gone before the food!

Veronica, how did you start trapping? Do you use a "have a heart" trap? Where do the cats recover from the surgery?
We've got a whole pile of feral kitties living right by my apartment building. Last year, there were maybe three, two orange and one spotted, but now there is a whole family of skinny, shaggy orange cats and another of cow-spot cats (some conspicuously orange.) I haven't been able to spot any kittens, but they've obviously had some. Something probably needs to be done about this.
Sometimes they fight in the parking lot, and my (indoor only) cats rush to the window all confused, because there are a) other cats than them in the world, and b) cats that appear to be outdoors...
We bought a trap at Orchard. I put canned cat food in and one of them walks in and sets it off.
The boys recover quite quickly from the surgery. The girls I leave in the trap in the garage at night to recover. The vet usually does them around 3 PM, so by morning they are ready to go. They use the stitches that absorb I guess. All the girls have recovered nicely.

Thanks for the info! I might have to look into this further.

Mr. Fish has a suggestion for our team name..."too old and damaged (or deranged)". Grrrrrrrr. I'll deal with him later.
