Yesterday: It wasn't a normal day as I started with a fasting blood draw and then straight to work.
B: Salad with artisan lettuce, chicken, boiled egg, assorted veggies.

D: Home late, so it was breakfast: eggs scrambled with veggies and bacon.
B: sweet potato, bowl of blueberries, strawberries, sprinkled with sliced almonds, and dried cranberries, with non fat plain Greek yogurt, 2 slices of uncured bacon. 1/2 cup of almond milk, coffee
45 minute trainer intervals/yoga workout
S: 2 dried apricots
L: 2 veggie burger patties, sliced apple, cup of corn soup
D: went to a party. Had half a glass of wine, 3 salmon pinwheels, and 2 whole wheat pita slices with hummus, one very small turkey sandwich on a tiny croissant, with a green salad.

Artisan lettuce is a combination of different types of lettuce sold in a container - typically there are 4 different small heads of lettuce of different types. A review here.

We buy "artisan" lettuce at Kroger and while we like the product, there's nothing "artisan" about it. There's nothing "artisan" about food grown in the ground. The truth is that the word has become a marketing gimmick and is being misused for a whole host of foods.
I agree, it is just the brand name. Good lettuce though, and it is a different variety than what I've seen.
Sorry; just read the review you linked to and it also takes issue with use of the word. I do disagree a bit that the lettuce doesn't necessarily spoil as quickly as mixed spring greens. We've gotten a few bad packages of it, despite having purchased well before the sell by date. Kroger is generous in their return policy at least. The only lettuce we've bought that doesn't spoil relatively quickly is at the local farmer's market. Not surprisingly....
Thanks for the descriptions - I just couldn't figure out what artisan lettuce was; I usually just buy red/green lettuce heads separately so I saw a package at Safeway yesterday that said it was "artisan" - now I know! Salmon pinwheel looks great!

I got busy yesterday and made chicken soup with cabbage, onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, tomatoes so I will have lunches all week; made a marinara and brown rice for another dish; which will make cooking dinners this week easier.
6oz almond milk; went to the gym where I found out boot camp was cancelled :mad:. Drove back home and did about 40 minutes of functional body conditioning, with a couple of frog jumps and jumping jacks intervals

L: small arugula salad with chicken breast, yellow grape tomatoes, goat cheese, fig vinegar, an apple, nuts and cranberries
S: slice of Ezekial bread with soy nut butter
D: 6 oz. of Ahi tuna, pan seared (barely) with sesame seeds and bok choy sauteed with mushrooms and sesame oil, sliced ginger and avocado, glass of red wine
B: special k, raspberries, 1% milk, coffee
Snack: a bunch of wonderful rainier cherries
Lunch: Bowl of homemade chicken soup
Dinner: broccoli and beef with brown rice, 1 glass of prosecco
1 chocolate
