I hear ya! We had to give our first Boston Terrier, Pepper, daily pills for many years (for epilepsy and hypothyroidism), and she LOVED 'em in a smidge of peanut butter or cream cheese!

Pokey is great! Love senior dogs.

There's Shi with those special ears. :) :)
Reesha~ thanks for taking in a frightened little sheltie. They are sooo sensitive and smart as a whip and I know you'll be repaid handsomely for your rescue efforts. :)
Skhill~seniors are the best! They fit in so well and have weathered so many trials that life has handed them. They can serve as an inspiration when the going gets tough.
I love threads like this! It's the only time I get to show off my pets, since I can't exactly take them for a walk in the park.
FinFang, my first & friendliest. He's in my icon : D

Amel Boy, the only one who likes me & doesn't like other people

Thanagar. Very opptomistic (as in, "that might be a finger, BUT IT ALSO MIGHT BE FOOD!)

Moss, big slow lump, and my biggest at 54" and 3 pounds (and still growing!). He's my embroidery-buddy, and will sit calmly on my shoulders while I do needlework.

Cardassia. Holy terror who bites & flails around when picked up.

Sappho and Stick Mantis. My friends named them : )

(oh, since this is a non-reptile-savvy form I'll mention I DON'T feed live prey items to my boys; they all get mice from the freezer that have probably had a better life & more humane death than any meat I eat)
I used to house sit for a woman who owned a couple of snakes - such beautiful animals! and so much character, one of hers used to enjoy escaping and hanging in doorways or wrapped around her statues
We rescued our little one almost two and a half years ago - after a whole list of issues with the previous owners the Rangers helped us 'steal' her legally
She was malnourished and had a number of quirky issues as a result of ongoing abuse
She wanted to stay with us :)

And who could say no to a face like that?
My DH would have massive heart attacks after seeing the pictures of you snakes. He's terrified of them, but they are gorgeous and I love the colors.
I have a cat named Bandit who thinks he's a dog. A friend of mine found him over a year ago when we had some -20 degree nights. she opened her back door and found him shivering. She gave him to us as she couldn't keep him. He "helps" when I quilt as you can see.

I also discovered I had a stowaway under my deck a couple of weeks ago when I heard some rustling. I made the mistake of feeding her and she keeps coming back. I'm not sure if she lives under there full time or has a family elsewhere since she doesn't look sick or starving. She's fairly friendly so she's not feral.
I've told her that she can't come in my house when she made a beeline for the open back door today. She just rubbed her head around my legs and when I was tinkering with my bike today she helped herself into my lap. I refuse to name her so I don't get attached but I think she's already done that.

Meet Jens! It has been two years since we had a pair of Schnauzers, so far Heidi is not in love with the puppy energy. She likes him if he will just calm down. Tortilla is also just fine until he starts being a puppy. I expect the girls to put him in his place soon. :p
Here's another photo of Little Jens from his breeder, this was taken over the weekend. He was pretty lonely last night, I think he missed his littermates. My Mom is adopting one of the lady's other Schnauzer puppies but he is too tiny to go home. He will be ready soon.

My two dogs Bailee & Dori then there is my bearded dragon Julio Sanchez Natchez. He's much bigger now. :)
More cute fur (or snakeskin) babies!!! I love it! Jens is adorable!
I don't have any new pictures of our cats, but I will share how in love I am with Izzy, our "kitten" (she's one now, but still very kitten like). She is obsessed with the squirrels and chipmunks that frequent our yard. This morning, she was tearing through the house, rushing from one window to the next, so that she could watch one of our squirrel visitors. She's so darn cute. Henry, my lump of a "mature" cat, is still loving as ever. I can't sit down without him jumping on my lap for pets. They always make my day.
Such lovely pets, and Jens is adorable - the kitties make me want to go out and get one :)
The colors of the snakes are beautiful - though I have to admit that I am terrified of snakes... I am sure they have their good points though since a lot of people do seem to love them as pets!
Antaresia, what kind of snakes are they? They're very pretty.
And the other furry (and scaly, and chitin-covered!) pets are very cute too!
I wanted to know how much Jens weighs and he fit so neatly in the kitchen scale. He sat there long enough to steady it then got nervous and tried to jump out. 2 lbs, 15 oz.
I was just at the shelter today looking at kitties and filled out an application so this thread is not helping me to be patient and not get my hopes up in case someone else snags him. But everyone's animal pals are so cute and/or beautiful.
