I'm trying to get back to three squares again. It's almost working.
Yesterday:
B: Coffee and a granola bar. (Spent the morning at the car dealership getting my brakes taken care of. :rolleyes: )
L: Chicken sandwich with cheese, spinach, onion, green peppers and banana peppers. Doritos.
S: More coffee, a cookie
D: Chicken, acorn squash (with a tasty dressing!), kale. Apple mini-pie and a bottle of hard cider.

Yesterday: B: cereal, 1% milk, coffee
L: 1 leftover hamburger (no bun), 1 apple
D: roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, 1 glass red wine
and, a few pieces of snack candy while handing out halloween candy
Today:
B: bowl of corn chex, raspberries, 1% milk
Snack: 1 small piece of raspberry coffee cake
Lunch: 1 piece wg bread, roast beef and gravy
Dinner: I plan to have a salad and grilled chicken breast, 1 glass wine

B: egg whites, zucchini, kale, low fat Mexican cheese, corn tortillas all scrambled up, blueberries, coffee
S: nuts, chocolate bits, cranberries
L: salad with chicken breast, pink beans, salsa, Mexican cheese
S: Ezekial raisin bread
D: I get home late on Thursday. Defrosted some homemade turkey and veggie tomato pasta sauce and I ate it with some quinoa/kamut twisty pasta and drank a little too much wine. I am fried from the hurricane and studying.

Today:
B: eggs with spinach and mushrooms, bacon, coffee
1 hour fun and challenging workout
S: banana muffin cup (very simple and yummy - just has banana, egg, almond butter and a bit of baking soda - mash together and microwave in a coffee cup for 2 minutes)
L: Ox Tail stew with roasted veggies, and roasted brussels sprouts on the side, 1 beer
D: ? Probably some left over Lemon-Artichoke chicken from last night and veggies or some chicken bone broth with chicken, bok choy and mushrooms.
This cooking stuff is becoming fun - and no problem staying under my calorie targets (sometimes too far under...)

L: bowl of leftover homemade chicken noodle soup, 2 small pieces halloween candy

D: salmon, salad, vinaigrette, blue cheese crumbles, 1/2 piece of corn, 1 glass white wine

Crankin - I bought ox tails from Whole Foods, but can also get them from my grass-fed farmer (though he is out of grass-fed for the year).
Yesterday:
B: eggs, sausage, roasted brussels sprouts
1 hour hard group training session (and I mean HARD)
S: 1/4 cup ox-tail stew
L: Last of the ox-tail stew with veggies
D: left-over lemon-artichoke roasted chicken, spinach salad with strawberries, celery and other veggies with extra virgin olive oil/balsamic dressing, roasted squash and a small amount of chopped frozen strawberries drizzled with coconut milk for dessert (amazing how this fills my ice cream cravings).

B: 1/2 grapefruit, bowl of corn chex, 1% milk, coffee
Snack: handful of pretzels, 1 banana
L: 2 chicken tenders, french fries
D: 1 glass chardonnay, leftover chicken thigh with tomato sauce and a little pasta

L: tuna in oil on a bed of lettuce, grape tomatoes, fig balsamic vinegar, cup of roasted red pepper/tomato soup
S: nuts, chocolate, cranberries
D: we went out to celebrate my passing my boards, at the Colonial Inn. It was dead, since it was snowing and windy :eek:.
I tried to be moderate... I had a glass of Prosecco, shared an arugula and fresh ricotta salad with DH, and had salmon on a bed of braised brussel sprouts/almonds, with fingerling potatoes. I ate half a slice of cornbread, couldn't resist, it's their specialty, since like, 1776.

L: mustard glazed roasted chicken thighs, candied carrots with dates (yummy!)
D: remainder of the "crustless quiche", bone broth with veggies
The "crustless quiche" didn't turn out so well, apparently I prefer frittatas with meat rather than just zucchini and yellow squash. I had to try the recipe once, that was enough.
Today:
B: Last of the mustard glazed roasted chicken thighs, candied carrots with dates, 1 slice bacon
L: will be mustard glazed roasted chicken leg, spinach salad
D: Who knows yet? Grocery shopping planned unless my bike gets too enticing ;)
The mustard glaze method works quite nicely, especially for skinless/boneless chicken which is bland anyway. Also works well for skin on/bone in.

Last couple of days kind of weird since I was traveling and too busy
Friday:
B: 1 banana - cereal with 1% milk, coffee
Snack: pretzels
Lunch: not until around 3:30 1 piece wg bread with cheddar cheese
I was trying to get out of town and was at work and had too much to do!
Dinner: Got to Kingman, AZ and got to tell you, not much good to eat there; cracker barrel (1/2 bowl of beef stew and one corn muffin)
Yesterday:
B; 1/2 bagel toasted with butter, hard boiled egg, coffee (at the motel)
3 hours tennis, 1 hour meeting with folks who may want to start USTA leagues (my second job)
L: cheeseburger, fries, lemonade
finally got home late afternoon and started a roast
D: couple slices of pork roast cooked with onions, mushrooms, beer gravy, mashed potatoes, and peas, 1 beer

L: More braised beef shank and spinach
90 minute bike ride :)
S: pumpkin muffin cup (pureed pumpkin, egg, spices, and baking powder - yummy!)
D: mustard glazed chicken thighs, sauteed spinach, small baked sweet potato
Today:
B: frittata, bacon, coffee with cream
90 minute group workout (MUCH harder than normal - fun though)
L: last of the mustard glazed chicken thighs and a bag a*s spinach salad with a little of every vegetable in my fridge and strawberries - avocado oil for dressing
D: Planning on a more braised beef shanks in bone broth with veggies and an egg. 1 Founders Breakfast Stout and perhaps 2 squares of 85% dark chocolate.
