Because I was dead tired from work and feeling incredibly lazy. I already have some lug pictures somewhere from when I was putting together my avatar. unless I trashed 'em.

Mainly I'm just lazy.

I have lug pictures, but I've yet to get the little doo dad so I can get the pix from digital camera to TE TD.

he's a slob. I love him very much, he is sweeter than his brother and his father. He's better with my wild kittens, and he talks to the cats just like i do. I will still be relieved when he moves out on his own.!

Sorry, Knot ! :mad: Here's a topic changing question for you - do you have a book or suggestions for crock pot stuff? I see you're a crock pot woman, and I am trying to put mine to more use. Being gone all day and coming home to a hot meal all ready is fantastic - but I need some inspiration.

An update on my endless sport bra saga. The constrictive bra has been sent back to TE and I should be recieivng the sport version. The Moving Comfort, I am too huge Maia bra, has been sent back and I ordered from a different company, Moving Comfort's Melbourne bra. Wish me luck with this next installment of sport bras.

I am not Knot, obviously, but I have an all time favourite crock pot cookbook. There has not been one bad recipe yet. The entire family loves the meals (huge feat in itself) and the prep time is usually 15 minutes. I use my crockpot all winter long.

Ahh! Sunday packed the U-haul truck (just barely made it with all the household goods into the medium sized truck, it was PACKED FULL!) drove to Tucson, got there around 7:30 p.m. dropped the truck off at the storage area; and had a nice late Mediterranean dinner with my sister and Bro in law.

Got up the next morning, unloaded the truck into the storage unit; after some juggling of units due to a mistake in what unit they reserved for us (Yes, moving with Uhaul is an Adventure!) Went with my sister to take a look at the house my parents are buying. It is nice, a little older than I would have purchased for them being that there is quite a bit of work that needs to be done, but it still is nice, it has an awesome backyard with a great view of the Catalina Mountains, nice desert plantings and a waterfall. The back of the house also overlooks a great big wash where they can't build anything so it is very private and quiet. I'm sure my folks will like it once they get settled.

Drove back home got home around 5:30 p.m. Had dinner with my folks who were staying at my house in Flag, then they left this morning to stay with my sister in Tucson till they can get into their new house; and I'm back at work trying to get caught up.

Now, maybe I can get back into a routine. Always have a hard time in the fall. Got to go start my swimming lessons, riding my trainer, etc. We have a hike in the grand canyon planned for November 10th, 11th so that will be fun! I'm finally doing my yoga and core exercises on a regular basis so I guess I'm on my way again!

Tonight I think is a good night for chile - maybe some chicken chile with green hatch peppers, some jalapenos and white beans! MMm MMM It's good to be home

KY- I resisted all unasked for gifts from SOTHTG (SO that had to go) until he sent a BIRD. I named it Cookie, though, after my new BF!

But the bird was a total PITA.

It's hard.

1st off- as soon as I get water proof/resistant gloves, (probably even before) I'm going to be COMMUTING! A 11 mile (est. from bycycle.org) or 22mi round trip ride, with a whopping entire *mile* on a trail. :)

The job is administrative assistant and later, licensed "partner" for a financial advisor. I'm excited. The hours mean I won't really see DGF much anymore, but I'll be making a little more/hr and able to bike... I'll have more 'normal' hours so I can see my friends and do athletic stuff on weekends like normal people do... Oh! and I'll have holidays off (whereas with this job, I was scheduled for all of them. =P)

how did you name your bird cookie after your BF? was his name or nickname cookie monster?

Kit, I'm happy for you with the new job.

Looks like I'm in for a major job shift. Got told today there will be no overhead for anyone next year (the company's having lean times) and when my major contracts ends Jan 21, I'll be working part time (like 35%) on my one remaining contract. I'm trying to decide if this is a sucky situation or an opportunity. I've been with this company doing the same thing for 23 years and feeling kind of stale. Haven't been writing proposals or looking for new opportunities like I should. I could end up back at 3/4 time by the middle of next summer if some new work we're expecting comes in, or I could fullfill my current contract (which ends 4/09) with part time work and be done with science. This could be my chance to become a bike mechanic again. I've been dreaming of that, and TE has help me get somewhat more up-to-date on bike stuff (even if I do slip and say freewheel instead of cassette, SK). Probably have to wait until spring to land a mechanic job.

Decisions. Decisions. Science. Mechanics. Go hiking for a few months. Take a bike tour. Be a bum. Worry about retirement. AAAAhhhhh. Brain overload.

Duck on wheels arrives Stateside for a brief visit Saturday night, I'll be on call for potential ride from the airport and will see her Sunday for sure.

Ow, I had some moles removed by the dermatologist (don't worry TE TD they are benign) but dayuhm right under the bra. Healing up but a bit uncomfy spot to have it.

Did you know we're all walking around naked under our clothes? According to the doc clothes have practically no sunscreen property.

You know she only does these things because she knows very well how to rattle you and yank your chain. MP and BMo3 - Yep, the Fix-It-And-Forget-It Cookbook is great. That's the one I would suggest. It was given to me by a dear friend when I went back to school because I just wasn't eating properly. Lack of time ("15 hr work + 4 hr studying" days = no time for cooking or sleeping) was the culprit. Most of the recipes taste great.

Yesterday I had a wonderfully fulfilling day at work. Met an incredible kid with Cerebral Palsy and had a great time talking to him while doing his x-rays. Fast friends. Before I got him back to the ER, I asked if I could have him as my honoree at my CP metric century ride on Saturday. I promised to print a pic of me wearing his name on my jersey and send it to him. Floored him. I got a hug and a kiss right in front of the ER nurses. :cool:
Today, I had an unusually bad work day. :( I'm a little depressed over it so I think I'll just stop there. Tomorrow's another day!

I've applied for a transfer to another dept of Mega Telco (actually I've applied for just about ANYWHERE BUT WHERE I AM) but particularly want one office.

My friend E works there, actually many friends are there and that's part of the wish is it would be like old home week with some very good people.

Anyway E''s Pagan so in jest I asked her isn't there some kind of spell she could cast on several annoying co-workers so they would leave and **poof** there's be an opening for me.

She said she can't do that, she can't wish them any harm but what she can do is a ceremony that they would be happier elsewhere :)

Without mentioning to the universe of course that we allllllll would be happier if they were elsewhere. :)

Spam used for Evil (as if food with SPAM in it isn't evil enough)-
If you *really* don't like someone and have about 5 minutes alone in their office, take SPAM or (if you're REALLY bad) regular lunch meat. Put it in an open lunch baggie so it retains most of its moisture, but still can 'breathe'. Most office chairs are put together in a way that leaves a small opening in the bottom, either in the spacers or in the base. (How do I know? I built them for almost a year. =P) Insert meat into hole.
Days 1 and 2 aren't so bad.
3 and 4 are icky.
Past day 6 the meat generally mummifies, and there's no smell (or a weak one)

Use gloves, no fingerprints.
How do I know this?
um... I also plead the 5th on this. :p

Also- there's always getting someone's email address, then going to every single religious site (or whatever topic would irk them most) and subscribe to their mailing list... regular mail works too, but email addresses kill fewer trees. (Spam used for evil pt. II)
