Dear In-Laws,
Car seats are not optional for toddlers. Ever. I don't care how short/rural/careful the trip. Thank you for putting me in a position where I have to choose between my children's safety and their beloved grandparents. That really sucked.

Been there, done that, about 25 years ago.
Why is it always the in-laws?
Dear drivers in my neighborhood,
I understand that you feel the need to drive a tank of an SUV despite living in a neighborhood with a two lane main road. However, while I an cycling in the centre of said main road because another tank of an SUV has seen fit to park in one lane, there is no need for you to nearly mow me over trying to pass there and then. Because you and I can both see that the road ahead is utterly congested. And I will laugh at you when I slip past your car on the double yellow lines to make my merry way home without getting caught in the traffic jam.
Dear Life,
Stop kicking my butt. I was doing good recovering from 4 years of hell, I'd like to keep doing so. Maybe you'd like to cut me some slack? Just a suggestion.
Dear Don Draper,
You are such a cad. Why do I find you so irresistible?
I'm sorry Red, Don can't answer you right now. He's busy ;)
Dear Minion,
When someone wants to meet with you to discuss your career development, it's probably not a good time to start screaming for union representation. They are trying to help your career....moron.
Dear self:
Don't feel guilty about taking a day off from work to work around the house and ride your bike. You've been working hard at the office, and need a break.
Dear sister:
I'm glad that you're coming to visit this weekend. But, if you're not going to tell me what you'd like to do or eat, you're on your own. I'll give you a spare key and directions to the grocery store and the mall ;)
Thanks! I have been painting, finishing up some lingering projects, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed.... Absolutely mindless, yet hands-on...
Dear rain,
Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou. (And please keep raining for a while.)
Dear beavers,
thank you for turning my hasty late evening attempt at a lake paddle into a magical experience :) Kayaking on black water under a large moon side-by side with 2 curious beavers doing their evening beaver thing, plashing down into the deep from time to time, was the best way ever to shake off a grumpy day.
No doubt, lph. Magical indeed.
