Norwegians all (and sorry TE for the hijack.) Is the T-O what my sister has refered to as "The Great Test of Strength" ride? Something about ride 1 day Trondheim to Oslo, no support ...

Yep, it's The Thing To Do among road riders here. If you tell someone you ride a road bike they immediately ask if you've done Trondheim-Oslo. There are shorter versions like Lillehammer-Oslo, which is dubbed "Lille Styrkeprøven", or "The Little Test of Strength". Sounds a bit strange in English :D
There is support on T-O.
And my impression is that more non-cyclists ask about this, while real cyclists aren't that into it - you need a really big team to do well, and so the smaller clubs aren't that enthusiastic. It's very hyped though.
Hi everyone! I have been putting off doing this because it looked like it would take some time to fill out. It did, but now I am done:) Hope to meet and ride with some of you. I have been learning a lot from this site and would love to thank all of you who contribute. The search function is my best friend;)

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Told my hubby that the guy from jury duty that gave me a ride home was someone I knew and surfed with. I had just met him that day during jury duty. It was easier than taking the bus home! Well, not the biggest but this is a public forum!
Most memorable moment on my bike: When my hubby and I were 13 yrs old we did our first organized bike ride. It was a bike-a-thon for McDonalds and we both rode our dads 12 speeds. Those bikes were so big for us!
Most fun ever had on a bike? Hubby and I rode from Santa Maria to Morro Bay and spent the night in tents. The next day the ride back was not so fun, but the ride up was a blast!

Most memorable moment on my bike: I know its just a little thing - but I just cruised on past a little family of ducks, and they looked at me, and I looked at them, and I realized that had I been in a stinky car-bubble, I would never have been able to say good morning to the little duck family. Silly huh?
Most fun ever had on a bike? Just cruising..... just cruising........
Cyn - so NOT silly! (about the ducks) That's the best thing for me about bike rides - saying hello to hawks, eagles, rabbits, once even dolphins by the gg bridge.
I love your phrase "stinky car bubble."
I've been off the boards, and (unfortunately) off my bike for a while, so time for an update.

Hi Mary,
Cool cool! Wasn't yesterday (the 12th) to die for?
I went to Pacific Bike on NE 8th on the Sammamish plateau to get new brakes on my Mongoose, and came home with a Specialized Sirrus! :-) The good folks at Pac Bike are going to bring my Mongoose back to me, as riding two bikes at once is problematic LOL ~ I'm determined to let my 2000 Camaro sit in the garage, till it becomes a classic ~
I'll head over to the Northwest section and see about the ride on the 19th. ~ Now if we could just have more of yesterdays weather!!
Many Huggz, and the wind be at 'yer back! Aaaaaaarrrrr
