The bike rental shop provided the pedals. We brought our own shoes/cleats. They were very accommodating and reasonable! Two bikes for 24 hours, delivered and picked up at our B&B only cost us $100. The ride was kind of challenging, not having my own bike, different fit, feel, etc. but since we only planned one ride over the weekend, it was do-able.

Sorry about the bang up on your bike. :(

We were in the Vancouver area along Howe Sound. We rode around Squamish and also inland around Pemberton. And walked around Whistler (lots of pedestrians and didn't have the time to find the lesser traveled areas). The bike paths around Whistler looked very idea for hybrid type bikes though, and it's nice to see you could really get around that way. Absolutely beautiful there.

I finally got one of my co-workers to take some pictures as I'm leaving work. Usually I'm grinning ear to ear while riding but my friend caught me while talking away!

They all pretend to think I'm crazy and eccentric for commuting (which I am but that's beside the point... :D ) but secretly they all wanna do it!

Great picture! Is that a Shebeest Ocean Wind Bellissima jersey from here at TE? I've been eyeing it for about a week. Is it comfortable?

It's my favorite jersey!!! I love the cut - it makes me feel good to wear it. It's very comfortable and I wish there were more colors (besides the one with the yellow sleeves and daisies - oh and wish there were plus-sized long-sleeved versions!)

Okay, now I need one of those jerseys. It is so nice to see them on someone, to see how they hang/fit. Is it true to size? I love, love, love Shebeest and just bought some from TE, but was uncertain ow this one fit. Please let me know so I can add more to my list of "must haves".

BTW, your bike is sweet. :)

why does that second photo look so... strange?

the first is great, riding in the snow. I've never done that, (nor do I want to!)
But i'm glad you do and can :)

Hey guys, way way up, the second or third post in this thread i am wearing that other
sheebeest jersey, the one with orange and the daisies. I like it a lot!

I also have a mock leopardskin shell jacket, apparently an older sheebeest design. I wear that
for non-biking events too.
