Good Vibes Thread

I'm grateful that I made it home safely tonight. I drove home from work through some of the heaviest, scariest rain I've ever driven in, in heavy commuter traffic.

In drought-striken NC, we need the rain desperately, but not like this. Got home and discovered that a tornado warning had just expired for our county (we're under tornado watch until midnight). :eek:

I'm grateful we had some much-needed rain and no scary storms tonight.

I'm grateful for my husband and my cats.
I'm grateful to have such a beautiful bike.
I'm grateful to have a way to support myself, even thought I don't necessarily like how I'm doing it.
I'm grateful that tomorrow's Wednesday and that means the week is half over!

I'm grateful that the rain stopped just in time for my morning ride (and I got home before the downpour)

I'm grateful for burning 500 calories this morning in boot camp, and that means I can eat the other half of the banana nut muffin I've been saving. And maybe even indulge my PMS-induced chocolate craving. ;)

I am grateful that the internet is finally back up and running!
I am thankful for my sisters who love me.
I am thankful that spring is here! ok...technically almost here..but it sure feels like spring, looks like spring, sounds like spring.....
and I'm thankful that there will be more hours of daylight in just over a week!
(daylight savings time!)

I'm thankful that I can be amused by the fact that the squirrels are eating my crocus bulbs. It's STILL spring, you little piggies! And yet more amused that they seem to have a preference for "blue".

I am ever so thankful that I live in a climate where spring starts in February and goes through May-June. I love it here.

Thursday grateful---

--For landing in an assignment where I can laugh again (doesn't laughing make you feel better & have a better attitude?)

--For a boss and coworkers who make me laugh

--For a boss and coworkers who don't mind my LOUD trademark laugh and my unique sense of humor

--For being able to ride outside every morning this work week (in above freezing temps)

--For my husband, who is going to get me some Mounds & Almond Joy "mini" foil eggs for Easter

I'm grateful that my new apartment is energy efficient.

I am thrilled that I was able to do a bicycle fit assessment at work today, and a motorcycle fit assessment, AND scheduled another bike fit assessment for next week.

I love my job, I love my boss, I love the field I work in.

A motorcycle fit assessment? Do tell! (but... please make sure that the suspension work is done by a qualified race shop - this stuff is calculus-heavy and not for the shadetree mechanic, there's a lot more to it than bolting in doglegs and dropping the forks in the triple tree - )



I'm grateful for the fish who gave its life for my dinner tonight.

I'm grateful for a reasonably safe day for everyone at the racetrack.

I'm grateful for everyone who spends their time putting on the show.

Oooh, no, I don't do any wrenching! I look at the muscle recruitment and the posture and skeletal positioning, then say "Hmm, here's what's happening now, here's what would likely happen if your mechanic moved this piece." and then I send the rider to their mechanic with my suggestions.

I know biomechanics, but not bike mechanisms!

I didn't really think you would, I don't know why I said that except for too many glasses of wine and a persistent annoyance with shops who sell and install lowering kits without any regard for how it affects the bike's handling :rolleyes:

But I'm intrigued by what your fitment entails. More by PM so we don't hijack this thread any further :cool:

Today I'm grateful for:

- good friends who manage to see what's important and forgive perceived but not implied slights (you're a sensitive idiot but I like you anyway)
- other good friends who are throwing a much longed for party tonight (whoopie!)
- yet other good friends who, literally, give me (lend me) the clothes off their backs so I can go to said party in style (thanks Ingrid sweetie :) )

and of course the fact that it's Friday and I still love my workplace.

I'm grateful for a nice dry roof over my head.

And dear friends who appreciate me.
