in that post? no, i can't see her kitties. I can see the dogs treeing the squirrel...
not kidding.
I see kitties. Or one kitty with two heads. They are orange.
Squint!
Yep - one very long kitty with two heads and five legs. He's cute! :D
I am LMAO at all the comments on my "two-headed" kitty! :D They do look similar...although the female is a tad bit chunkier than the male...and the male has a bit more white in him (paws, face & belly). They're like an old married couple. ;)

So my sister just moved homes in Denver after 12 years, and their sweet little kitty Tonks just disappeared. Having read Tulip's experience, I suggested she leave her number with Humane Society, Animal Control, and all local shelters, plus post something on Craig's List. Plus neighborhood flyers.
He is really a special little guy, and I hope they get him back. If there is anything else they should be doing, please let me know and I will forward it to her. I lost a wonderful cat after a move, and it broke my heart for a long, long time. I'd like to spare her family the same pain, if possible.
It's possible that the cat will make it back to the old house. Maybe your sister could ask some former neighbors to keep a lookout for the kitty.
Sorry to hear :(
I agree that the cat likely tried to go "home" and they are pretty good at knowing where that is. So if she can keep an eye out, post fliers, alert the vet's offices and shelters, etc on the "way home" (take a straight line, add a buffer to it) she might get lucky. Having the old neighbors keep an eye out would be very smart as well.
I went to the spca tonight looking for a cat for my parents. I certainly didn't think I'd be coming home with a chihuahua named Howie!!

he doesn't have red eyes, by the way, and I'm only taking him for the evening. He's dwarfed by my cat!
OMG! I love Howie! What a great name too. :D
Badger, do you still have your foster dog from Taiwan? Does she like Howie?
no, Mandy's at another foster home where she's doing alright. She was quite overwhelmed by the sounds/sights of the city (I live smack downtown with a lot of traffic) and she wasn't doing well. She never managed to pee outside and she eventually started to pee/poo inside. If I lived in a more quiet neighbourhood and wasn't working full time and could help her with her socialization I would have, but she was just going backwards with me.
Howie's curled up in a ball on my lap right now, he is SO small - size of a kitten! and no, I really can't keep him. It's funny, though, because I finally made up my mind that I'm not ready for a dog for a while and in comes Howie. But honestly, he's such a good little dog he'll have no trouble finding a home.
