It looks like a fun little trail :) I've lined up a gravel/dirt ride with a friend in 2 weeks and can hardly wait! Really hoping the weather cooperates...

I've been able to ride at least once a week on the road lately, but it is hard riding that little...however it IS almost January. I really miss single-track but there is also some relief about backing off. Hopefully I can get my neck in better shape and take care of a few weaknesses that will allow me to eventually return to at least easy trails :)
Hope that you are able to get out on some gravel Catrin! It sounds as though we are going to get some snow over the next few days, so other than commuting... I may be back on my xc ski's :) And if the snow doesn't happen, well we'll definitely mount the studded tires.. it's very icely here right now.

Think I am ready to N+1 after our backroad ride. A surly troll or a salsa vaya would have worked a tad better than sky with her fenders in the unexpected mud patch
Wow Sky King. I think you would have been better off with a jet ski in that first pic.
I did a short "easy" loop on one of the trails close to me. About 50% of the trail was covered in packed snow. This was my first experience riding snow packed technical terrain. The snow turned my "easy" loop into more of a technical challenge. I was super cautious because I had the hardware removed from my ankle 1.5 weeks ago. My ankle bones will be weak for another 4.5 weeks. The ride was slow and methodical but I was happy just to be on two wheels. I'm looking forward to bombing over the snow in a couple of months.
It's still snowing here...But Saturday and Sunday we rode about 3 hours each day So beautiful in the SNOW :)
Quite difficult to ride in the narrow car tracks.

Now THAT'S some awesome straight line riding, Anelia. I'm not sure that many people could stay in that narrow track even in dry conditions.
I've been doing at least a couple of winter rides a week lately. The snow is mostly melted off of my favorite trails but we still have long sections with hard-packed snow and ice. Our weather has been very cold the last few days. I rode in 9F yesterday. Brrrrr.... We're looking at 50F temps next week. I hope to get out for some warmer rides while it lasts.
VERY good job Anelia, it looks like you had fun! There would have been many outlines of me and my bike in the snow ;)
Oh yes, I also want to say that it is VERY cool that we can now embed videos in our posts!
Wow, Anelia. I'm impressed!
So nice to ride today in the low 50's after riding last weekend at 9 degrees. I appreciated not having to pile on an additional 5# of clothes to keep warm. I'm trying to ride as much as possible in our nice weather knowing that we're still due for several more snow storms and cold and windy weather before early summer.
I am finally able to ride after having insane amount of work due to converting accounting software, then crappy weather and finally a kidney infection that was pure hell. I finished my antibiotics Wednesday and had a great ride yesterday for the first time since December 1. It was gorgeous, I felt really sluggish and not very confident moving around the bike but I still loved every minute of it. Can't wait to get back out next weekend.
I miss MTB riding a lot but still I'm glad that I was able to ride outside this weekend. Yesterday we did about 65 km of hilly terrain and today we rode over 80 km with very strong wind. Tomorrow should be rest day.
