Crazybikinchic---I saw Body Worlds in Philadelphia. Verrry cool. Here is a link from wikpedia for those of you who are not familiar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_Worlds
There is also a similiar exhibit in Las Vegas at the MGM, I think, but it is old and ratty looking and not as detailed.
Is this a thread for those of us with ADD. I think I have that oh look, shiny....

One of my dogs just woke me up at 7:30. I am not happy. Why didn't the light sleeper (DH) get up?
Maybe I should start early on the weeds in my backyard? I really want them gone so we can build a retaining wall.
Hey, Aggie
'Cuda woke me up before 7:30 too. I'm still trying to decide - yoga and get my day started? or back to bed to cuddle? DH is still fully asleep.
hmmm
And yes, although I am the heavy sleeper, I am also the one who is up with the dogs, occasionally that happens 3 times a night, but usually it is just once.
Did you go weeding?

My last dog was awesome. He loved to sleep and wouldn't even think of getting up until you were already up. Unless he had some sort of very rare emergency situation. My dog before that, had DH up at the crack of dawn. In winter in Edmonton, that's no big deal. In summer, that means 4:30 or 5 AM!! Thank goodness DH would walk her, feed her and come back to bed. I just had to roll over and go back to sleep.
Body Worlds is coming to Portland soon. I'm definitely going.
Of course I should clarify. Dogs wake me up. I let them out, I use the bathroom, I let them in, they go back to bed. On a weekday, it's usually time to be up anyway, and I do yoga all on my own while the rest of the family sleeps. I should do this on weekends, too, but then I'd miss out on "cuddle" time. ;)
It was a good cuddle today. ;) ;)

Anybody get April fooled? I thought maybe it was a joke when DH phoned to say I had to pick him up because he'd had a flat about 20k from here. But it wasn't a joke. He'd really had a flat on his way to H€ll. Still, it was a convenient one in terms of timing. I'd just got in from pruning the currant bushes and had not yet gone out again. I drove out and picked him up, making it back home just in time for coffee at the neighbors'.
When we got back from coffee, I washed the kitchen floor and made supper* while DH, unasked and unannounced, Spring cleaned all of our bikes. :D RubySlipperz lookes absolutely jewellike, and Big Red is pretty gleaming too, though (s)he badly needs a new saddle.
*cassava melon, tomato/fresh basil/marinated feta salad, mashed carrots-and-potatoes, and thick-sliced ham steamed on top of the c&p as they boiled. A menu I learned while on a low-fiber diet. Should work for the gluten-challenged too.
with the new living arrangement in the morning now i let peanut crawl into bed for a bit. she loves it. she's such a cuddle bug! thankfully she's one of those that once you get out of bed then she does the ok.... i'll get up too.
I'm pleased (in an angst filled gruesome way) to read on Wikipedia that all the doners for Body World were "willing donors". Don't know if it was that I read or heard that the donors were prisoners of some sort and well....that means not exactly willing. Either way not sure how I feel about it for art or education. I suppose if it inspires someone to learn more about medicine or to take better care of themselves....maybe it's all good.
There are two body shows making the rounds. One has "willing donors" the other is mostly executed Chinese prisoners. The prisoner one is the one that's here in Seattle. Had a long discussion about it with one of the PT student interns at our clinic. He was boycotting the show because of the $$ paid to the Chinese government for the bodies and the shady documentation.
AH, now I understand! i was totally confused about the German thing
because I know they are chinese. There are 2 exhibits! ah!!!
Yes, I couldn't see going down to view someone whose mother is crying somewhere because she couldn't bury her son's body.
Personally, I think the whole thing is incredibly creepy.
The weeds are gone! The retaining wall is built. The tree rings are not done, but darn I am tired.
Why didn't I stop to put on sunscreen before venturing out? I slapped in on my face and went to work on the yard. Now I am red. I usually try to protect my fair skin, why not today? I just wanted one more thing to bother me.
The body worlds is kind of creepy to me. That is just not my thing.
We (mostly DH) pruned the peach tree, and some mystery trees at the back of the yard. I moved the peony, hydrangea and english ivy. We hauled all the branches and cuttings out to the front lawn for chipping when the guys come around. Can't remember if that is this week or next week. We moved some stuff around in the carport and changed the position of the BBQ so it will be adjacent to the "outdoor living room". We hauled all the bags of leaves and other rakings to the curb also, for pickup - hopefully this week.
The dogs had a run in the park. 'Cuda has not licked his foot today. He'll have to wear the cone when we go to work tomorrow though.
We installed the new light in the kitchen. It looks magnificent. :D
I made a nice dinner with loads of vegetables, and chicken in a home made curry sauce.
And DH and I spent some time with the mardis gras mala's, and did a pseudo meditation session. And he wants to do it again tomorrow.
Now, if only I could focus on assignment number three of my course.
All in all it was a good weekend, despite that there was no time on the bike. Hopefully we'll get a ride in this week.
Hoping for good evening weather.
I hope you all had a super fabulous weekend! Hugs and butterflies,
