I don't know why I've been thinking about this. :D
I'd cast my vote for Brad Pitt as the hitchhiker in Thelma and Louise,
And Dennis Quaid in The Big Easy, mainly for that great, sexy New Orleans accent.
Who wants to play...?

A young Paul Newman is the yardstick by which I measure all others. So far, no one's surpassed him for me yet. But the new James Bond--Daniel Craig--comes close. I was a fan of his long before he became Bond.
Sean Connery, Patrick Stewart, Yul Brennar, Tele Savalas
Now for those not sans hair... :D Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom...;)
Ralph Fiennes in "The English Patient". *swoon*
Dennis Quaid as Jerry Lee Lewis.
Sean Bean - would much rather have had him as Aragorn on LOTR.
Jeremy Irons, as anything. Ooo.
Alan Rickman. Maybe not "hot", but wow, that VOICE.
Admittedly I haven't been to a movie theatre...in several years. But well, there are other things in life to do.
So my selection might be a reflection of that:
Denzel Washington
Harrison Ford
Sean Connery
Gerard Butler in anything (but 300 is very nice)
Daniel Craig
I think I have a thing for Brits!
Not to be a downer but... one of the things I hate about the co-ed forums is the hot chicks threads. I think it would be wrong of me to post similar stuff here, when I complain about the men's forums being sexist...:o
Maybe if we don't talk about their boobs it's ok.......?
Or....maybe if we name our fave movie stars- both men and women?
K..
Kenneth Branagh-Dead Again, Hamlet, Henry V, Look Back In Anger, A Month In the Country,
Ralph Fiennes.....mmmmmmm..The English Patient MMMMMMMMMM ;) Tis a bit hot in here..:o
Willem Dafoe-Platoon, Mississippi Burning
Gerard Depardieu-Cyrano De bergerac..
Juliette Binoche-The English Patient, Trois Couleurs-red, white, blue
Jane Fonda-On Golden Pond
All of Jimmy Stewart's films
Harrison Ford does it for me, sigh.
Wanna hear about me sleeping in the same bed he slept in.......nah, I'm sure it would bore you to death.:o
I love every movie that Tom Hanks has done.
And I'm a big fan of Meg Ryan, just to be fair. :)
And
Helen Mirren..is really very good. She was in the cop/detective British series (now I can't remember the title), Queen Elizabeth I movie..
Selma Hayek
Sam Neil and Judy Davis in "My Brilliant Career" 1979

I'm swinging it back 'round to the hotness...
Christian Bale tops my list. Especially as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, but also as Batman.
Jonathan Rhys Myers would be second. And Johnny Depp is a very close third.
(Yeah, I totally have a "type" that I like to look at...pretty, lean, and slightly androgynous.)
Redford and Newman in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. Didn't know this one.
Well now, we have to be fair to all species as well.
Lassie
Trigger
The Comcast Turtle couple
and, of course, the GEICO gecko
and to be interstellarly fair,
E.T. Who could resist THOSE eyes?
LOL :D:D How fun!
I pick-up and coming actor Cam Gigandet! Probably 'cause he's from WA too.

(couldn't get his pic on here, sorry.)
*It's hot in here* STOP it...Ralph Fiennes photos..:D *drool*
Worst actors-Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson.
Daniel Craig - I love how James Bond is so much more believeable now. I couldn't stand the Bond series before, too hokey. And he was excellent in "Layer Cake" too. Doesn't hurt he yummy looking too ;)
Other actors I admire:
Johnny Depp - Love his acting!
Patrick Stewart - bald men are HOT! Ask my DH :D
Ben Stiller - he makes me laugh
Worst actors: 2 for Tom Cruise (except he was pretty funny in Tropic Thunder)
Best female actors:
Angelina Jolie - that woman can kick ***! And I admire her role with the UN
Cate Blanchett - She was awesome in "Elizabeth"
Worst female actors:
hmmm... Pamela Anderson, Denise Richards
he was in "Bend It Like Beckham" and is in "The Tudors"

Oh Yeah! :p J. Rhys-Meyers was great in Bend it like Beckham. I love that movie! :)(Haven't seen The Tudors).
Marcello Mastroianni
yeah, young Paul Newman is pretty hot
Ralph Fiennes (though, dude, what's with the stewardess thing?)
Colin Firth
I also think Christopher Plummer in the old version of The Sound of Music (with Julie Andrews) is kind of dreamy. I know this makes me hopelessly lame.
And, this is weird, chubby and just not my type at all, but, I think Vince Vaughn is pretty attractive...
Oh, and I'm sorry, Matthew McConnahoweveryouspellit is HOT, even though sadly he is dumb as a post and stops being at all attractive if you see him interviewed.
Alright, I'm done being a silly girl for the night.
Oh, he just irritates the heck out of me. Especially in "Contact". Bleurgh..
Can't believe I forgot Willem Dafoe.
Female actors with that magic visual "hook": Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, whatshername in "Boys don't cry", Tilda Swinton.
Only childrens films are dubbed in Norway, so I watch everything in English with Norwegian subtitles. I've gotten so used to it I get quite confused if I don't have that little white stripe at the bottom of the screen reminding me what the actors just said...
How about a TV guy?
Jamie Bamber as Lee "Apollo" Adama on Battlestar Galactica.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...BSG/LEETTB.jpg
Johnny Depp in Don Juan de Marco. And I'm not in the least put off by watching a little bit of Sweeney Todd last night before I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer... (LOVE that show but it's not exactly a sexy role :D)
And if we're being egalitarian... I'm a perfect zero on the Kinsey scale but I'd go out with Catherine Zeta-Jones anyway...
He was the soccer coach? That was a great flick. All the pics I could find were at little too bad-boy/lo rise for some of the TE gals. Wouldn't want to offend anyones sensibilities.
Tom Cruise and John Travolta are tied for worst actor in my book.
LOL, he can't act worth a crap either, but for eye candy....Quote:

David Straithairn. Especially the young D.S., as in Eight Men Out.

Josh Lucas from Sweet Home Alabama. You have to love a guy with an old truck and a bloodhound. Adorable!
LOL! And he uttered one of my all time favorite lines in that movie "Darlin', Just because I talk slow doesn't mean I'm stupid" LOL I love that!
Favorite actors: practically anything by Ed Harris (esp The Rock), Nicolas Cage (National Treasure Oooh, I love a smart guy), Ralph Finnes (The English Patient), Robin Williams (In just about anything), Kevin Kline (Oh, anything anything anything!!!) There are more but I don't wanna go on and on

But be warned Mr.S, I doubt you would enjoy 'her' films very much....except maybe one of her last roles, in the original 1988 movie Hairspray, which was certainly wonderful (and definitely family rated and quite sweet and heartwarming).
