REI Taku Pants
has anyone tried these REI Taku Pants? anyone know how they fit? low rise, normal rise, run small, run big? really warm or need extra layers underneath?
they are quite expensive and not sure if i want to invest that much money in a pair of pants, but i need a good pair of waterproof running/outdoor pants that will last.

I invested a lot of money in winter cycling pants, but not these. These do not say they are recommended for cycling, and the ones that are have wind blocking fabric in the front and breathe on the back sides of the leg. They are a little snugger around the ankles and have zippers. THey also have articulated knees and reflector ribbons down the side and on the bottom. I wear bike shorts under them that are meant to be liners and are very thin in the fabric, but the same in the chamois as regular shorts.
I got mine from a bike catelogue. I ordered 2 pairs, one on sale, which of course didn't fit as well, and the ones I have. I'm not home or I would tell you the brand.
