WhooHoo! It feels different and good, does it not. :)
I did it for the first time last week too and boy what a difference!!! Cool! I wear a pair of shorts over top though.
Now you just need to buy something from the underwear nazi store. :p

welcome to the otherside.
hey i like that underwear store, i may have to get something from there.
roflmao light - I thought your thread was just too cute!! welcome to the wonderful world of commando cycling!!
very liberating ain't it??..........and almost kinda naughty feeling the first few times eh? :p
I will admit to being sans underwear at times other than on a bike and to fully appreciating it more on a bike than any other time.:D
Actually Germaine Greer mentions her (woman) gynecologist recommending going without panties as a Women's Health measure in the '70's. Those were days of strange synthetics and nylon.
Well then, there you go. For me it's mostly about non-conformism and being a non-fan of any sort of bunching. :p Plus, when it's warm it's one less layer...
My grandmother passed away this year at age 100. She was not in the habit of always wearing panties, especially in the summer time. I think it had to do with her being raised on the farm, etc. Although she was very ladylike and loved her costume jewelry (she was wearing a gigantic cocktail ring as we witnessed her pass away in her sleep), I think panties to her were more a genteel air than a practical necessity.
If I wore more dresses, as she did, I would probably wear panties less. But I can't imagine jeans and shorts without panties. Bike shorts? Of course!

Love it re: your grandmother.
Jeans = always commando for me. Shorts = never. I'd never want to accidentally give someone an eyeful!
I was afraid to confess, in case it was TMI, but I'm with you on this. After years of trail running in lycra shorts, I'm pretty much commando most of the time. Unless I'm wearing a short skirt. :DQuote:

I just "found" you all this morning. Timing is great. :D I wanted to read about the bike I think I am buying today (hear that fear?) I got the advice and then some women-think and solidarity and a good roaring laugh about shorts, the lack of undies and mooning. Ladies, ladies. I will be back for all these smiles!:)
Welcome to TE Flying Fish. What bike are you buying today? This list is absolutely wonderful. The women have helped me, a novice, decern clothing, bikes, riding techniques, and oh so much more. I love it here and hope you do as well. :)
