i've been so fascinated by the eagles... also found a link to 2 others in maine and a single baby eagle on santa cruz island (that one looks lonely!)
i just love watching... they are all getting so big (almost as big as mom and dad now!)
i'm gonna really miss the eagle cams when they fly off!!!!!
I wasn't watching eagles but locally we have a nest cam for peregrine falcons and all of the juveniles have fledged so the nest is empty. It's hard to suddenly NOT have the eyas to watch once they leave the nest. This was the second year I watched the mated pair raise their babies with my grandson.

I check in on the Hornby Island Replacements every day or so. They sure are getting big! I liked it better when the camera was zoomed in more...

I look at them daily or so...
And when they'll be gone, I'll look for them in the skies! I'm in Sidney, BC (where the camera is now since the Hornby Island eggs failed to hatch) for a month and indeed there are quite a few bald eagles, mature and immature (no white head/brown feathers combination yet), around here. I know they hang out in a nearby tree because I keep hearing them talking to each other... Don't think there are babies though... But those of the livecam will definitely be flying around here soon!

I still keep checking in on them. And I still think they are fascinating.
But the birds I've really been watching are the Canada Geese that appear to live near my office. There are 2 pairs that each have 5 babies. Well, they're not really babies now - still not ready to fly, but they're getting pretty big. I posted a series of pictures of them that I took a couple of weeks ago in my article about touring with a digital camera on crazyguyonabike.com.
