Ergon Grips for CTS?

I know Wavedancer has these on her mtb. I am interested in the Racegrips with the little bar end on them. I am having issues with carpal tunnel (as if my knees don't bother me enough), and am exploring what sort of changes I can make to my bike to make it more wrist friendly. (I still think a new bike with disk brakes will help- if I have a long enough list of reasons maybe the old DH will agree;) ) The grips have good reviews, and the bar end would give me alternative positions. I am not even riding right now, and yes I am wearing a brace at night, thank you.
