Riding Buddies...
Looking for some riding buddies!
I live in Diamond Bar (SoCal) and am looking for some beginner type gals to ride MTB's at places like Chino Hills and Bonelli. I normally ride with my husband but I am a high school teacher that will be on summer vacation in a couple of weeks and can ride much more frequently. I ride alone a lot but thought that it might be better to have someone else to enjoy the rides with. I'm not really looking for a "club" so to speak, but just a few gals that don't want to ride alone all the time or feel more comfortable riding with other females.
I have been riding mtb for one year and really ride for the pleasure of riding and being outdoors. I am not into highly technical riding but do like a challenge. I LOVE to climb but suck going down. I do not have clipless pedals nor see a great need for them for what I ride. I have no hang-ups about getting off the bike and walking sections that I think are scary or I can't clear - though I will usually try to clear a tough section 3-4 times before moving on. I really like singletrack but also really like long fireroad climbs. There is nothing more satisfying than having a big cold glass of beer after a long hard ride... I just like to ride.
I also ride road bikes as well and would be willing to share some rides on the road as well... I'm a bit more competent on the road bike but like to stay off really heavily travelled roads.
You can either email or reply. Happy riding!

Hi Rottie...
Welcome to the forums! I'm a new road cyclist and we are planning monthly rides for the southern California TE members. We just did one on Monday with a good turnout and a few of us are planning to ride on 6/23 and 7/1. Go check out the other threads in the California forum for more info.
