Louis Garneau 2006 Women Sensor Knickers
I ended up with these knickers after an exhausting search for the perfect chamois. These, unfortunately, don't have it. The styling is nice, the fit is nice, but the chamois, while properly shaped and sized, just isn't dense enough to provide cushioning for a ride longer than a couple hours.
The knickers themselves are interesting. They are made of Ergo Sensor fabric. Stretch knit made of 10% Lycra, 28% polyester and 62% mycrotactel nylon (10 oz/sq yd - 339 g/m2). This technical fabric has a polyester back to absorb moisture and keep you dry. Like all knits, it is recommended to avoid abrasive materials and surfaces. They are black outside, and blue inside. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I really do. They actually seem to work as promised. I really like the blue flatlock trim, too, as a change from plain black.
Leg grippers a nice (not pinchy) and the rise is on the lower side, though not too low. There is a drawstring at the waist. They are very comfortable.
