Fizik Arione & Terry Butterfly
I am looking into purchasing a new saddle.......a pink one :p and I have found these two. I have heard about both, and I have also read pretty decent reviews on them as well. I was wondering if any of you had any input! Anything would help.
Thanks,
Jessica
Veloputt's review of the Fizik Arione
I don't know Veloputt personally, but she was very kind to reply to an e-mail I sent her asking if she had a good experience with her Fizik Arione. I also asked if she had problems with the saddle being too narrow, or with its wings rubbing her things. With Veloputt's permission, I'm posting her reply.

HI Cari,
Don't mind your email at all! Enjoy exchanging info & tips!
I'm 5'4" and avg weight--not skinny, not fat, but generous hips and thighs w/
the hourglass figure, so if anything, a tad wider sitbones, and *sigh* plenty of
upper thigh.
The Arione is great for allowing LOTS of variation in position, and the tops of
the thighs can nestle against the wing, but you don't really notice it--if
anything, I felt the little extra support at times was nice. Never any
discomfort from it. I found a pretty good deal on it via an internet search,
though it was the most expensive saddle I had ever bought, but it was worth it!
I rode my bike to work a lot last summer, 17 mile each way, and was miserable on
a Terry cut-out, and as soon as I switched to the Arione I was very happy. It
feels as a saddle should--firm, but not uncomfortable. And it's better w/ many
of the newer chamois, too.
But I have a friend that loves her Selle Italia, but for the engineer in me, the
Arione is a really smart design!
Good luck!

Pink Arione + tape on eBay
Hey Waverly,
In case you decide to go with the Pink Arione... there's a brand new one (with the matching handlebar tape) on eBay. The starting bid is $124.99 and no one has bid on it yet. It's item number 7233451167.
On the other hand... I didn't know Terry let customers try saddles for 30 days. That's pretty cool!
