Too windy??
Well today I was looking forward to going on a nice bike ride. I had to work yesterday (Saturday) as I was on call which was kind of a bummer beacause the weather was beautiful, but that is besides the point. Today I woke up to sunny skies and was thinking "Awesome I can get in a nice 30-40 miler" Well the wind gods had other plans in mind. The wind was 25-30mph with gusts up to 55mph. That for me doesnt make for an enjoyable ride, unless it is a tail wind:). So instead I went for a walk, did some cleaning and worked on a quilt. Hopefuly I can sneak out of work early tommorow for a ride and show the wind who is boss, haha. Hope the rest of you had a beautiful weekend. Do any of you brave that kind of wind. Whenever I do my back pays for it in the end. Not to complain or anything:)

CorsairMac does but I get blown over at about 35 mph. I'm too tottery to risk it! :p So tomorrow, when we're suppose to have 40 mph gusts, I'll be on me trainer!

I've endured heavy winds in the Winter time but I'm more difficult to convince to go out in bad weather conditions in the Spring/Summer. Still, if I am not planning to go over a bridge or overpass, I don't mind high winds and gusts up to, say, 60 km/h. Above that, tree get uprooted in my area and I don't want to end up under one. (Boyfriend had his car wrecked by a big big evergreen that fell on it during a storm a few years ago. )
I just don't go for long those days, though.
