When you can't exercise, or go to bed early what do you do?
I meditate, practice deep breathing, read Pema Chodrons books or Lissa Rankins blog. All help me find my equilibrium when I'm stressed and off kilter.
I draw, read, knit, and meditate to de-stress. I'm having a bit of a problem with that right now myself.
Music for me, listening and playing. Never miss a day with my music.
I often listen to instrumental music or EDM :D
Or go riding, travel for some days
It releases my mind a lot
What age kids? Can you involve them in some active play?
Reading fiction is it for me. Pure escapism!
Spa music for me. In fact, I listen to this every night while fallinv asleep. Put a stop timer on iphone and it does the trick. Also reading fiction, but nothing too exciting or I would not relax. And doing some fun calm games like finding the differences or sudoku.
It depends, sometimes it's reading, or drawing, or other hobbies - quite often in silence, sometimes with music. Today it was binge-watching the new season of Once Upon a Time on Netflix. I hardly ever watch more than one show (period) in an evening but I got caught up. Got some knitting done at the same time and after the (mumble mumble)th episode I forced myself to turn off the blasted tv.
Well, if I cant exercise or go to bed early, I might just browse the internet for some interesting websites to pass time
