Those are amazing, Veronica! Thanks for sharing:)
Those are so cool, both the dragonflies and the photos. Thank you for sharing!
Those are wonderful!
Very nice! Not easy shots for sure!
Beautiful! I love dragonflies
I love dragon flies. Beautiful!! And what a beautiful coloration. I wish we had more of them here. Or maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
So how does he manage to get these wonderful shots. One, I can see as being sheer luck. But three? Thank you for posting such wonderful photos.
Oh he's got way more than 3! He's been shooting dragonflies for a while now and especially when we go someplace new. When we were in the rain forest we spent an afternoon with me rowing him around the weeds in the lake. :D It was fun. There are a couple different galleries here, but those are in his best in flight shots.
Patience, a little understanding of their behavior, good camera equipment and luck. And of course there are 100s of shots that don't make the cut.

Wow. The dragonflies are gone for the year where I live, have been for about a month now. I'm fond of anything that eats mosquitos, and it's just an added bonus that many are so beautifully coloured.
Gorgeous! I'm so jealous (really)!
Those are stunningly beautiful and detailed shots. Dragonflies remind me of my father... when I was very little, we were picnicking in a park and I remember he held out his hand and a dragonfly landed on his finger! I thought he was magic!
