Platform Pedals -- what to buy????
I don't want to go clipless or clip. I am apprehensive. As well as riding numerous miles by myself, I also ride with my SO who stops and starts very suddenly, or he will simply move on the trail funny. Please do not tell me not to ride with him. I don't have much choice; he is 82 years old and wants to go riding with me. I don't want him to ride alone. I have explained to him many times about trail etiquette and road rules. He says, "I am not hurting anything." At least I get him to move off the trail now when he stops! (With a lot of yelling, though)
I have a road bike and want to use plain platform pedals. Does anyone have any opinions? I road this morning with a group and because the roads were wet from the rain, my feet kept slipping off the pedals. it was nothing I couldn't control but it was so annoying. I couldn't go as fast because this.
The pedals I am considering are below: I know they are for mountain bikes, but I don't know what else to get.
WELLGO Wellgo Mg 1 Magnesium Platform Pedal 9/16'' in black if I can get them http://www.amazon.com/WELLGO-Wellgo-...latform+Pedals
Forté Convert Platform http://www.performancebike.com/bikes...400264__400264
Thanks for any advice!!!

I have heard great things about Nukeproof Electrons, they go for around 60$.
Re: Platform Pedals -- what to buy????
The CRC deal is pretty good, I'm pretty sure I'll get a pair for myself as well. As for those purple pedals, they aren't Nukeproof pedals. I'm not sure how good they are, but I suggest going for black or white Nukeproofs. They are very popular among trail riders here due to their price, weight, thin profile and grip. If you'd prefer purple flats to go with your bike, I'm sure we can find you something else just as reputable :)
