Cali SL or Specialized Jett

A shortie here wanting to buy a bike. I've test ridden what fit me in my area and it is down to these two. I can get the Cali SL at a significant discount, so it ends up being about $100 + pedals more than the Jett. The Cali is a 17 frame, but the step over was fine. The Trek is a 15 frame. Both are 29's. Any thoughts. Thanks!

What is the price range for the bike?

How tall/short are you? As a 5ft1in person with short legs, I would still have a tough time with the 15 Trek 29er.
