If I could buy a new bike tomorrow, guess what it would be? It would have to have disc brakes however... :)

Swoon is right! Very pretty.
I bet you could put some miles on that baby!
Nice bike. I really like the saddle bags.
Oh my. Yes, what is it? (I did try to look it up! My image search, TinEye, doesn't have the best database, I don't think. What image search do other people use???)
I should have provided it in the first post, sorry about that! It is the Ascari Mixtie, go here.
Very pretty!
I might use these photos for inspiration as I build up my mixte (which is still sitting naked in our dining room!).
Came back to add: Holy cow - the wheels are wood reinforced with carbon. Sweet!!
I am checking to see if it is available as a frame. I already know they are consumer direct and do not work with bike shops (my fitter contacted them). I suspect the full build as pictured would cost significantly more than my Gunnar
I admit, I looked at where they are located. Of course, they are here in downtown Portland.
For a very brief moment, I contemplated making a trip down there! I will resist. I will.
Good thing they don't have a size that would fit me.
I just found out the cost of the frame, fork and stem....just that alone is 1.75 times the full cost of my one-off full custom Gunnar  I knew it had to be expensive but woah!!! So, unless I win the lottery, there will be no Ascari Mixte in my future.
It is pretty as all get out.
What's up with the brake levers?
Handmade brass of their own design. http://ascaribicycles.com/mixtie
Beautiful, but the brakes don't look very safe to me ... too hard to reach and too easy for your hands to slip off, I'd think.
Isn't Ascari the ridiculously expensive car manufacturer? Geez - wonder what the price tag on that mixte is! Pretty, but I'd guess it's pretty dear, as well.
ETA: OK - did a google search... looks like they are not the same as the car manufacturer.
They are not the same...however you are right on the cost. Just the frame, fork and stem costs $5,000. Full build as pictured is close to $8,000  I emailed them yesterday our of curiosity.
My pure 1-off custom Gunnar was way less than the frame/fork/stem. Still a beautiful bike...though it better be ;)
