Redlands R.U.F.F. Ride

Has anyone done the Redlands RUFF Ride before? I'm interested in doing the 62 mile ride, but I'm on the fence. There is no course map, so I can't tell what I'll be in for, in particular, the elevation change. I've emailed the ride coordinators for the info, but just in case I don't hear back, I'd like to get opinions from TE riders.

Is the ride well-organized and safe? Are streets monitored by police to control traffic? What's the general "vibe" of the ride and the post-ride festivities? Is it worth a go, or are there better rides in So Cal around the same time of year?
