It's a small XL, probably more like a large in other brands. Probably the most comfortable chamois I've ever come across. They just don't fit me any more. (For reference, I'm currently wearing a Large in these shorts, a medium in Castelli and Sugoi, and a small in Pearl Izumi.)

What is the inseam length on the Primal shorts? I tend to prefer a longer length short, otherwise I get BAD sausage leg effect.

6" according to Primal's website--I think they'd be too short, but I'll double check tomorrow.
