Century rides in Southern California?

Hi Gals! My husband said that I can pick our next three day vacation. I am thinking of going down south and hoping to find a women's century. Are there any centuries that you are aware of that will be in your area after April? Thanks, Becky (San Jose)

Hey Becky... try Bikecal.com They list pretty much all the centuries in the state each year and provide links to the pages with the info.

Thank you for that link slinkedog! I've heard that the Alpine Challenge is pretty good on 4/29. I'm hoping to be up and going by then so I can ride it! There's also the ride from Rosarito into Ensenada; I've heard that is quite an adventure - that's on 4/29 also. That's true... I think the Cinderella is one of the only women's-only centuries in the country, actually. I think the other one is the Little Red Riding Hood in Utah. SadieKate likes to do that one!

Thanks gals! I have a good start. All this training and having fun with the bike is slipping into my dreams. Last night, I dreamt I was riding my bike and then I woke up the covers were everywhere, my husband had to remind me that tomorrow there is no rain. :) Becky

it is a 72 mile ride with 6700 ft climbing... part of this ride is my training route (I ride Dehesa and Harbison Canyon pretty regularly)... it has beautiful scenery and I've heard it's well supported... I've never done this one since I am too cheap to pay for a ride I can do for free... LOL!

If you come in for it let me know... last year some other riders stayed overnight at my place and I drove them on part of the route so they could see it, then we went to dinner... it was fun! :)
