Thanks for the info. As you can see by my signature, I have one of the affected bikes. I took it in this AM and the shop didn't even know about the recall yet. Bad news is my other bike is in for repair so I am currently bikeless. The good news is that when I get my roadie back it will be fixed AND have new pedals to go with my new shoes.
Good catch. I just went out and checked mine, which is the 2009 Carmel 3 model and is not listed on the recall. Haven't ridden it for a couple of years since I got my road bike, but keep thinking I'm going to add a basket and use it for riding down to the Y or for other errands.
I nearly bought one of the affected models, back in 2009. I remember being disappointed that my size wasn't available and I ended up with a different manufacturer. Just as well, I suppose.
