Why the heck did he not just return it to the shop (unridden), if it's really true that his wife bought him a women's bike!? Hard to believe that an LBS would have let her make that "mistake". It sounds a little fishy to me, but perhaps I am just paranoid. Seems like any self-respecting LBS would let him change it for a men's model.
I wondered too, but to give a photo, his name and phone number - that is risky for a thief, right? The thieves I suspect to possess stolen bikes are hesitant to post pics or personal info. If anyone of our ladies in San Diego gets the bike, Id love to hear the story!
If his story is true, there's one really emasculated dude to even care if the bike is a women's bike or a men's. It's not like it's pink! :rolleyes:
