This has been all over Facebook-- I ride in the Bay area and the cycling community here is horrified. It's obvious to me that it was intentional.
I posted it on FB. One of my friends had the reaction "how do we know the driver didn't simply look down for a second?" My reaction...it doesn't matter. He/she didn't stop. That was no accident. If a person hits something with their vehicle because they were distracted...that's not an accident. An accident is something that happens when someone has done everything in their power to avoid issues.Quote:

Interesting update...apparently the car was stolen.
Apparently the car was reported stolen AFTER the collision. How conveeeeeenient. :rolleyes: :p
